Ideally I would want something that looks slightly "embossed" that is a serif font. I want to be able to make it tall and skinny (which I can do in the program I'm using) and have it look ok.

I'm using it on a darker picture that's suppposed to look creepy or ominuos. Anything that you can find to help would be much appreaciated.

1942 report is a good, spooky typewriter font that looks slighly embossed

Artist Stamp Regular is also a a good spooky font that extends well. There's also one called...Dyspepsia? Dysleksia? I can't remember exactly.

Also try: Cheapskatefill, Civilian (good if you want a spooky script font), The Gingerbread House, Got Heroin?, Kinderfeld, Requiem II, Tom's New Roman...

The two things to be sure to watch for are full character sets and legibility, especially at small reolution. There's a reason Arial is the standard...

hope that helps!

PS thought of another! the new one: Broken Ghost!

PPS Also, just go look in the horror section...tons of good ones in there.
