If you want the "commercial": It is Mata

Yep, 1979 is a clone of the Mata. Or is it the same one? 1979 later made commercial? Whatever, it is not the one requested. Nothing matches but the 'S'. I ran a match but no result. So this asks for further digging. Do not guarantee a result though ...

One question to EJ. Why this big image when all we need is the top right bit? Next time please get rid of the garbage. Thanks.

This is a logo, right? (We don't have this TV-Show in Austria right now ...)

Well, if so, then my my opinion is: Some modifying-the-font-a-bit-to-make-it-unique-trick again, as we had it recently. Cut some tails off, remove the back of the E, flip the V to have an A and you are there. Doesn't take much time ... the 3D effects are more timeconsuming than that. But that's - as always - just my two pennies ...

Possible. Maybe.
And it's not only because of the S, it's the overall look that counts. And maybe the designer was a fan of Spiderman... ;-)

EDIT And if it's really a font, why don't they use it more often? On their webiste for example.

Oops, I compared with the 1979, not with the Mata. 1979, the clone indeed, has same glyphs for upper case as for lower case. And you are right Swallow: Mata upper case matches except for the 'A', which, as you say is most probably a flipped 'V' with some modification to the ends of the strokes.

Solved. Thank you.One of those days when it pays off to not to be careful :)
