#1 Posted by chumak on 2003-07-02 23:17:18 | quote |
Hello.

I am constantly asked to make memos, letterhead stuff, etc. for the company that I work for. I like to use our logo, but I can't figure out what font it uses! Im pretty sure it was designed on a mac. (ew)

Logo:

Thank you very much for any feedback.

If you look at the "e" and the "o" in your 2 different pictures, it's pretty obvious that the font in picture 1 is different from the font in picture 2. Are you looking for both?

Oh um, I guess you're right. They are similar colors tho? (hehe)

I am mainly interested in identifying the first font, the one in the logo.

Thanks.

Hi there-

OK. The first one is Linotype's Optima.

Minimalistically,

I'm pretty sure the second one's Clearface Gothic, aslo by Linotype, but without a bigger sample I can't be 100% positive.

Thanks man! You definitely hit the nail on the head with the first one being Linotype's Optima.

I have linked to a better sample of the second font, didn't IMG it cause its kinda big:
New sample

The second one (Clearface Gothic,) looks close, but the Capitol M and A's are a definitely different.

Thanks again.

I think one char. that really stands out is the number 5 - it has that weird extra slash on the bottom curve.

Thanks again for the help.
