installing fonts on win2000
HI,
I can't install any of the fonts here on my os. What is my problem? ---------------

this is what i got from microsoft's site.. seems to be the same process as for other windows releases...
To install a font by dragging or pasting a font file[/b:c6002cf130] - Find the font file you want to install (on a floppy disk, network share, or vendor?s Web site). - Drag or paste the font into the \winnt\fonts directory, for example c:\winnt\fonts. To install fonts through Control Panel[/b:c6002cf130] - From the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. - Double-click Fonts. - Click File, and then click Install New Font. - Browse your local computer or the network to find the location of the font files to be installed. - Select all fonts you want to install, and then click OK. thanks, the thing is that I dont have the option "install font" in my fonts folder and if I just paste it in it doesn't recognize it in other programs...

pasting MUST work... because thats all the INSTALL NEW FONT button does... copies the file into your font directory..
are you sure you're copying into the right folder? is there other fonts that are recognized on your system? have you restarted your application after installing new font? you might have to do that with some programs Alex, Abstract Fonts |
