Tribal Council JNL is a variant of Fun and Games JNL with a linocut look that emulates jungle or tribal lettering.

A big advantage of the font family is a consistent width of all sixteen styles, so it is possible to switch between them without changing the typesetting. Tabac Mono extends the means of expression of the other fonts in the font superfamily, with which it shares several OpenType functions, including indexes, fractions, several types of numbers and alternative shapes of the most distinctive letters of the Latin alphabet (a, g, Q), which you can use to significantly influence the character of the final composition.

Tabac Sans is a linear, dynamic sans serif type that blurs the lines between text and title typefaces. Tabac Slab was created by combining several contradictory influences, the result of which is a universal linear font. The combination of brisk serifs and refined calligraphic details in the structure of the characters serves to create an original concept that mixes influences from both book and advertising graphics. Serifs aid legibility in long texts, while small drawn details realise their full potential in sizes of twenty-four points and larger. The basis for our Egyptienne was Tabac Sans, with which Slab logically forms a harmonic duo. The addition of bracket-less serifs caused the typeface to thicken and become solidly anchored on the lines, giving a firm answer to all typographers who like to complain about the slight exuberance of grotesque fonts.

Take Trails is a handcrafted script vintage font. The font uses rounded rough edges, inked style and has texture, so this script typeface gives a feel of vintage, classic, old, handmade looked-like. The process of the font design went through scanning and digitally carving, and the texture is well crafted and was carefully added in each character.

Happy Trails is a font that is based on the lettering (all upper case) used on most Trailways buses from 1936 through the very early 1960s. It also has a newly created set of lower case letters which never existed before. The font was tweaked and digitized by Bob Alonso & John Bomparte. Happy Trails has not only the flavor of the early Trailways buses but also a folksy, Western feel to it, and it’s even a bit silly or goofy, a fun font that has a variety of uses.

Tabac Big can satisfy all expressionists desiring idiosyncratic colouring in setting because it provides black weights. But at the same time it offers solutions for orthodox environmentalists who like to save ink and toner — all the fragile hair styles are intended just for them. Less clearly-defined typographers can then choose from the six other weights, from Thin through Light, Regular, Medium, Semibold and Bold, including true italics. Tabac Big is a first and universal choice where we look for pronounced display type as a complement to text type. Its modern drawing, made up of precise arcs, sharp lines and seemingly simple segments, gives a clear and unmistakeable impression every time. And yet the typeface knows how to intrigue — especially in shaping the italics, which fully expresses the typeface’s unique details, such as its large bulbous instrokes and outstrokes and heavy wedge serifs.

A special category of typefaces, combining together principles of both serif and sans-serif, is sometimes described as Linear-Antiqua by German typographers. This concept catches the eye wherever it appears and this is also the case of Tabac Glam — a highly contrasting display typeface, expanding the wide expressive spectrum of our Tabac super-family through a new characteristic hue. Tabac Glam is naturally a great complement to the serif Tabac. It’s however only in conjunction with other styles of the superfamily — Sans, Slab and Mono, that you’ll be able to unleash the enormous potential of the wide range of combinations, and the family’s 112 styles will certainly satisfy all needs of both elegant and technical typesetting. When they say everything’s already been invented, they’re exaggerating a bit. But not much. When we design new typefaces, whether we like it or not, we have in our memories the historical legacy and invention of our predecessors. That’s also true for more detailed work on optical sizes, intended for the largest or the smallest typesetting. Although for display sizes we give room for fantasy and elegance when shaping fine serifs or smooth drawings full of refined details, for styles designed for footnotes and other small texts we do the exact opposite – pragmatically and rationally, with knowledge of the optical properties of small text. And that’s precisely the case for the Tabac Micro subfamily, a sans-serif typeface derived from Tabac Sans.

Here’s an intriguing mixture of 1930s deco and modern tech fashion. Travel Kit Medium is a sturdy semi-serif hybrid with one foot in the past and another in the present. It is slightly low-waisted with extended crossbars on the capital A, E, F, H, K, and P. But the capital B, M, R and X are distinctively contemporary with the E and M repeated as unicase letters in the lowercase. Optional retro characters (notably the unicase e and m) have been provided if you prefer a more traditional overall look - and your software allows access to these characters. Simply find and replace the more modern letters with the older ones. In addition, small caps with even more alternate characters have been included for greater flexibility and convenience. Travel Kit Medium with Alternates is now available in the OpenType format. In addition to small caps, lining figures, oldstyle figures, and petite figures, this expanded OpenType version contains additional stylistic alternates and historical forms. These advanced features work in current versions of Adobe Creative Suite InDesign, Creative Suite Illustrator, and Quark XPress. Check for OpenType advanced feature support in other applications as it gradually becomes available with upgrades.

A German travel poster from 1927 became the design inspiration for a type revival because of its pleasantly hand lettered sans serif type style. Euro Travel JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Here’s yet another interpretation of the classic “thick and thin” sans serif lettering most popular during the Art Deco era. This particular design comes to you through the courtesy of a hand lettered 1930s travel poster from the Pennsylvania Railroad. Some capitals are much wider than others, while the lower case ‘i’ is somewhat truncated. Rail Travel JNL is available in both regular and oblique versions.

A 1927 travel poster for visiting what was then Palestine and Near East was hand lettered in an early Art Deco thick-and-thin type face. The lettering was redrawn digitally, and is now available as the aptly-named Travel Poster JNL, in both regular and oblique versions.

The 1990s was a time of creativity, experimentation and exploration into the world of digital typography by amateur and professional alike. Ray Larabie [through his Larabie Fonts] offered dozens upon dozens of wide-ranging (and often most unusual) freeware fonts. Ray was the driving force of encouragement and a behind-the-scenes “mentor” who helped Jeff Levine Fonts get underway in January of 2006. As his focus changed to high-quality commercial type with the launch of Typodermic, Inc., many of Ray’s “less than perfect” font experiments were withdrawn. He eventually turned those typefaces into a bundled zip archive released into the public domain through Creative Commons. “Webster World” resembles a fusion of Techno and Western styles. With Ray's permission, the original characters have been cleaned up and re-made as Space Traveler JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

Goudy Trajan Pro is based on the drawings by F.W. Goudy of his rendition of the capital letters inscribed on the Trajan column in Rome, rather than on his subsequent metal type, Trajan (Title), released in 1930. Goudy Trajan Pro includes almost 1500 glyphs in each of three weights, including: uppercase, alternates, swash caps, small caps, vertically centered small(er) caps, dozens of fleurons, and much more.
