Mineola got tired of being like all the other serifed fonts, got some hip body art, and moved to the cool part of town. But every so often, when no one's watching, Mineola puts on a light blue oxford shirt and listens to top 40 radio.

Do you remember that kid from Lord of the Flies? Why do I even remember that kid, I’m too young for that. However, his name was Piggy, and I wanted to make a typeface that resembled him. So this is my tribute to Piggy who got killed by that falling plastic rock in the movie. May he live forever through this typeface, on birthday cards, or maybe some sweet candy packaging or why not through an graphic identity for a toy company?

I am not really sure if goldfish in general are lucky. They tend to swim in circles in a bowl, but maybe, years from now, scientists discover that these goldfish count themselves lucky to be in a bowl, rather than in a stream in Asia. Personally, I think they’d be better off in a stream. Lucky Goldfish font is a cute and happy font, ideally suited for book covers, posters and toy packaging. Comes with a school of diacritics too.

Precise and geometric, solid and strong, Screener looks great on screen as well as in print, in tracked small sizes as well as in teaser headlines. Screener comes in two widths and weights, with italics, and extra sets of symbols and numerals (enclosed, fractions, superiors, inferiors, etc.), as well as two weights of small caps. Screener is available in separate packages, or in a value package that contains all twelve fonts.

Have you ever had to read text from a cheap dot-matrix printer which is not aligned quite right, so that the tops of the letters are either darker or lighter than the bottoms? Now with IrritationOne and IrritationTwo you can relive that experience even though you no longer use a dot-matrix printer. IrritationOne has dark tops and fading bottoms, while IrritationTwo has the opposite. Naturally both are monospaced.

Eggad features letters on eggs. It can be a fun font to use at Easter or for any egg-related message. Some of the eggs - those on the upper-case keys - have their large end on the bottom and others - those on the lower-case keys - have their large end on the top. The font uses the contextual alternatives feature of OpenType to alternate the big-bottom and big-top eggs. If you only want eggs with big tops or with big bottoms, turn this feature off. Eggad comes in two styles, a regular style in which the eggs are outlined and a bold style in which the eggs are solid. Both are monospaced. The two styles can be layered to color the eggs. A brass stencil hand cut to mark the tops of oil drums yielded the lettering for Stencil Plate JNL. The font emulates the retro feel of the unique letter forms found in the original antique design.

Arcadian was first produced in wood type around 1870 by William H. Page & Company. It is a semi-ornamented face based on a French Clarendon, with dots added to the median and the tops and bottoms of the letters. It has a distinctly “Old West” feel, and was likely used to add a little pizzazz to advertising and broadsides of the time.

Frogurt is a soft, plump, rounded slab serif font full of fun! Its fat curves make me think of frozen yogurt, and I've always preferred the shorthand "frogurt" to "fro-yo." I was inspired by a 30-year-old hand-carved wooden sign; when I went to try to find a font with a similar look, I couldn't really find anything soft and funky enough! It was a real Goldilocks situation: that one was too thin, that one's corners were too sharp, that one's baseline was too strict. So since I couldn't find something I liked, I made something I liked! I gave Frogurt big pillowy slab serifs, a slightly irregular baseline, and just enough tilt and variation to be fun while still keeping things really clean and readable. The outlines are cleaned up and sharp, so Frogurt will work well for both printing and cutting. Frogurt clocks in with just over 570 glyphs total, including all of the basics (A-Z, a-z, 0-9, and a ton of punctuation), plus over 310 extended Latin characters for language support, and over 50 alternates and ligatures to add some variety and flair. Frogurt is PUA-encoded for easy access to all characters.

Superstar Grotesk is a free interpretation of the first Cyrillic versions of Royal Grotesk and Akzidenz Grotesk, later the "Roublennaya" typeface is the same irremovable pop artist who lingered in the top of the typographic charts until the digital era, and formed the image of the Cyrillic alphabet in the 20th century.

In Brazil, young people sign their gang names on the top of São Paulo City buildings. Their letters are tall and structured just like the buildings that they have to scale. For them, typography has become an extreme sport. The font Brazil Pixo Reto pays homage to these new athletes of design.

Our new Hamburger font is based on the old classic Brush Script design with many new additions. We've added many alternates to the design including lowercase swash tail letters, swash underscores and a few alternate uppercase letters. Upright scripts are popular these day so new to this old type design is a near upright script version, a lot of hand work went into producing it. One of the biggest problems with the old Brush Script font is that people use it as all caps, which doesn't look good because of the extended swash on the top left side of the caps letters. We've fixed that problem by making an all caps version where the caps in the lowercase position have the top left swash tucked in to help the letters display better as an all caps font. We've also created a small caps version, again the small caps lowercase have all the top left swashes tucked in to bring the letters closer together for a better display. Also new to this font are two higher x-height versions that are ideal for signage. The first is Hamburger X which stands for extra x-height and the second is Hamburger SPX which stands for super x-height. Both of these higher x-height fonts are suitable for signage on a building, billboard and vehicle lettering where you're looking for faster readability from moving traffic. We've designed a new lowercase b and moved the original to an alternate position. We've also redesigned the uppercase C bringing the bottom up to the baseline and moved the original C to an alternate position. The original lowercase g was open at the top, we've closed it and we're not offering the original g as an alternate.

Ribfest is a new font based on lettering found on old United States currency from the 1800’s. Named after the Ribfest held in Naperville IL over 4th of July weekend each year, this font will be perfect for your next summer barbecue party. Ribfest offers three Fill fonts that can be layered behind the main open faced fonts, the regular Fill font covers the complete opening on the main fonts while the Fill T for top and Fill B for bottom gives you the option to fill with two different colors for top and bottom. Portmeirion No.6 started life as an experiment by our designer, who was exploring the possibilities of a completely 'over-the-top' display Roman face, bringing in elements of Tuscan and 'Circus' design, along with anything else he felt like. He's instilled a little more discipline in the finished result...but just ever so little. We have Fred Stevens, a regular reader of our website to thank for the name. He's comment on seeing a preview of the design was 'Over the top, Italianesque decorative and intriguing. add some 60's TV and voila Portmeirion.'
