BRIGNELL SLAB is an eight font family designed by Ian Brignell. Curvaceous and dynamic, this unique slab exudes honesty and personality. Piano Keys is a musically-inspired font. It can be used for commercial as well as educational projects. In other versions, I tried to accurately replicate the pattern of black and white keys across the character set. Of course when used, the randomness of text and characters often produced less than realistic results when needed. This version allows black and white keys to be accurately arranged, if desired.

A personal calligraphic series commissioned by Bitstream from Gudrun Zapf von Hesse. Although Carmina BT is a neutral design, optimized for use in digital publishing, Zapf von Hesse’s unique calligraphic spirit is still quite visible in the family’s letterforms. This is not surprising, as all of Zapf von Hesse’s typefaces are calligraphic in nature. Yet Carmina BT is suitable for almost any conceivable digital text application, from book design up through signage use.

This elegant monocase design is based on a nineteenth-century offering from Britain’s Stephenson Blake Foundry named "Fry’s Ornamented No. 2". Stylish, witty and debonair, it will add grace and charm to any project. The font features bracketed fleurons in the greater than and less than positions, and no math operators. Both versions of this font contain the Unicode 1252 (Latin) and Unicode 1250 (Central European) character sets, with localization for Romanian and Moldovan.

The convey typefont family merges essential features of classical serifs and sans-serifs and creates a character with a contemporary, open appearance. The font was created as a cooperation project with media theorists and was designed and perfected through analyses, reading tests and the application of media psychological and sociological findings.

The 225 glyphs that make “Spina Typeface” are the result of experience with hundreds of drawings, sketches and digital tests in seeking to achieve a typeface that represents the fluidity of the script and elegance of the modern roman. Monograph conjures ancient typewriters, telephone switchboards, vintage office machines past visions of the future. As though it were drawn with the rounded nib a of a Speedball "B" style pen, the soft curves and rounded serifs speak of a gentler less complicated time. It is nuanced with traces of the Arts and Crafts movement at the turn of the 20th Century which stressed craftsmanship and preserving and emphasizing the qualities of construction and materials.

Korto is a highly legible, geometric text and display font. Inspired by classic sans-serifs Futura and Avant Garde, this elegantly minimal typeface is available in a comprehensive family of seven weights. It includes old style non-aligning (lower case) numbers, both proportional and tabular, as well as accented characters for Central European languages. The Quickstep Bold, a 'quick' font, originally made for the 25th anniversary of SSP Printing Co. in Amsterdam. First used for an intro spread of a Brian Eno quote in Wired Magazine (#3.05, May 1995): "The problem with computers is that they don't have enough Africa in them. What's pissing me off is that they use so little of my body". For a less outspoken expression, the Quickstep Sans was developed later.

The 1912 American Specimen Book of Type Styles from ATF featured a quaint little offering called "Tabard", whose antique charm was enhanced by several rather quirky alternate characters. This version tosses out the standard characters and keeps the quirks in the works: the result is warm, engaging, slightly mischievous and a whole lot of fun. The Opentype version of this font supports Unicode 1250 (Central European) languages, as well as Unicode 1252 (Latin) languages.

Diotima Classic is a total upheaval for the 21st century of Gudrun Zapf von Hesse's mid-20th-century Diotima, one of the most beautiful types ever cast in metal. Its roots lay in a calligraphic sheet written by Gudrun Zapf von Hesse. The text was the Hyperion to Diotima" by Friedrich Hölderlin; Diotima is the name of a Greek priestess in Plato's dialogue about love. In the philosopher's imagination, she should appear slim and beautiful. In 1948, Gudrun Zapf von Hesse finished the typeface's Roman. The Diotima family was released as a metal typeface for hand setting by D. Stempel AG in 1951-53. This original Diotima is a festive design particularly suited to invitations, programs, and poems. The delicate Italic drew attention to text passages that should be emphasized. Linotype's previous digital Diotima only had one weight, which looked great in display sizes, but was too thin for text setting. Diotima Classic has four weights. The new Regular has more robust serifs and thicker hairlines, making it more appropriate for text sizes. The Diotima variation with finer serif remains under the name Light. Gudrun Zapf von Hesse also took the opportunity in 2008 to add an extremely heavy weight to the family. In comparison to the old Diotima, letterforms of the Diotima Classic are more harmonious and balanced. The rhythm of the Italic letters in Diotima Classic is more consistent. The lining figures of the Diotima Classic align with caps, and the letter spacing of the tabular lining figures in Diotima Classic is significantly better. The forms of the figures have been improved as well."

Granpa’s typewriter comes from an antique Olivetti Typewriter Machine I have. This font has all of the effects a typewriter machine can offer you: a regular version, a strong hit version, a light distressed version, a double-hit version and X version, which is a compilation of several typewriter mistakes, tests and stains. This font is specially handy when trying to use a typewriter effect on an edgy/grunge work, where there's no worry about perfection!

Back when shop window decoration was done with a brush, every window designer had his own style. In this vein the sans serif Altrincham was created. But even as a text font, it has stood the test of time, since it is very easy to read even in smaller point sizes, thanks to its relatively large x-height. With the Altrincham Condensed and Altrincham Wide Bold two other fonts have been created to perfectly complement the font family.

It is inspired by the friendliness and cordiality of neo-humanist typefaces with a mix of rounded shapes, some apexed characters, and a little bit of black. Although it follows the ductus, D Sari is also a daring font with less pointed shapes, as is the case with regular neo-humanist typefaces. D Sari has 22 variants, which make it a very dynamic typeface. Well-suited for highlighting lettering, magazines, motion graphics, advertising, logotypes, signs, etc.

This font owes its inspiration to the Bauhaus, the celebrated 1920s design collective which more or less invented modernism as we know it in the applied arts: from architecture and industrial design to graphics and typography. In its day, Bauhaus typography would have been considered brutally modern. Nowadays, when unadorned sans serifs are commonplace, it still has a freshness and quirkiness that sets it apart. With this new release I've tried to recapture the zeitgeist of those pioneering days.

A laid-back family, Conversa fonts are available in two weights, both all-caps with alternate glyphs on lowercase slots. Choose your preferred alternates by hand or simply turn on the Open Type contextual alternates feature to make them automatically cycle. There are some ornaments too, for a little twist here and there. Conversa is a new take on 'Outside In' font, which is part of the 'Outside' font duo. Give it a try, easygoing-ness guaranteed!

Elodie is an Art Nouveau inspired all caps font with some extra quirky characters. It was hand drawn with a brush pen. Elodie is designed for titles, short quotes, product names etc. Use lower-case letters for regular text, and then add a some special quirks to your writing by using the characters in the upper-case section. Multilingual support is included for Western, Central and Eastern European languages. Please test your characters in the font previewer before purchase.

Figgins and Caslon may be names familiar to many as Type Founders. Indeed they are, but they are perhaps less well known for the emergence of Sans Serif type styles which have become part of our lives since 1889. The first hundred years of this style is celebrated with this design by Adrian Williams, completed in 1989. It echoes many features of the Gothic, Grotesque and Sans Serif models of the period, based particularly on the 1870 Figgins.

The designer's father, Philip Grecian drew a logo for his business, Grecian Creative Services and asked Alex Grecian to expand on the logo. Alex extrapolated from the existing letters, creating a font to compliment his father's logo. Naming it was the easy part. Grecian Empire has since become one of the most popular fonts offered by Elemeno. The Strikes Back and Engraved styles have limited character sets and are far less versatile than the regular version.

Ziro expresses itself boldly and spontaneously. It consists of two different sets of capitals to help create natural handwriting effect. The letter "I" is treated like a lowercase "I" and the letter "O" has a dot in the center. The lowercase variation does not have a dot in the center for those less adventurous applications. Ziro is loose and raw in larger sizes and therefore has many useful applications that may include restaurant logos, menus, boutiques, packaging, etc.

The Old Times American Family is derived from several letterpress books from the 1880s in the midwest. The fonts were painstakingly compiled from over 100 pages of text and optically balanced for optimum results. Old Times American is part of the Grit History Series A font set. The set encompasses serif and sans-serif fonts in varying weights to meet the needs of designers. The less-than-perfect letterforms evoke a sense of the non-digital.

I really enjoy making brush fonts. I usually just get my Chinese ink and a bunch of brushes and start drawing glyphs. It took some time to get Studio Brush right, but I think spending that extra time paid off. Studio Brush is quite a neat brush font: the glyphs of this all caps font are of equal height (more or less) and complement each other perfectly. Studio Brush comes with double letter ligatures and some alternate glyphs.

Cicero was the first typeface designed by Thierry Puyfoulhoux in 94. It is what could be called a semi-serif. Only the serifs which occur naturally when drawing letters with a flat nib pen have been retained. The absence of certain serifs allows for much tighter spacing. The remaining serifs still stabilize the baseline, although less effectively than a "full-serif" typeface. By borrowing features from both the sans and serif styles, Cicero truly stands at their crossroads.

I am inspired by imagery that technology has rendered obsolete. I treasure anachronistic packaging and design which has somehow evaded obliteration by focus groups.I especially admire the packaging for A&P coffee brands Eight O'Clock, Red Circle and Bokar whose eccentric yet elegant typography harkens back to an earlier, less complicated era. The font Bokar is my nod of appreciation to those robust and full-bodied blends spared from the bland, tasteless scourge of corporate branding.

Advertising Gothic is based on a style of fonts from the 1920s which was commonly used in advertising and poster design. The style is clearly influenced by the Art Deco movement. It combines deco style decorated initials with dramatic capital letters. The font comes in two different versions. Advertising Gothic Plain features initials which do not have the deco decorations and less fancy letter forms. Advertising Gothic Deo features deco embellishments on the initials and more elaborate versions of the main letter forms.

There is a narrow blank box on the “less than” key for use as an end cap, and a wider blank box on the “greater than” key to use between words as a blank space if so desired.
