PeterPierre is a stiff, awkward sans serif face. It has little variation in stroke width and the vertical and horizontal elements are connected with short, sharp curves. The condensed style was developed first and then, in a quest for legibility, it was widened into the regular style.

Inspired by the decayed lettering on the signs at Siesta Key beach painted on weather-worn old wood in Florida, these letters are made to look like peeling paint.

The quest for an identity in the 1980s world of personal computers is the best way to describe Technerd JNL, a retro-style monoline font with clinically mechanical letter structure and a personality only a dot matrix could love. Bodoni Classic Swing is another of my decorative additions to Bodoni’s family of typefaces. Bodoni did not design decorative versions. His quest was for purity in book design. He was purely as a printer who had to cut his own fonts because there simply weren't any foundries in those days. I think if Giambattista were alive today he would design many decorative typefaces. This font is for gamers, game titles, for science fiction books and movies. Like hexagons fill and take space, in this font we attempted to employ hexagonal spatial typography. Sometimes it requires more rapid stroke direction change than in traditional typography. The same for Starfighter and for space quests – the competition and adventure will often require quick and sudden change of direction to succeed and survive. Have fun!

Beachbuoy floats on the foamy surface of fun, rising & falling with the waves. Lower case characters take a siesta when it comes to the baseline, an oasis away from mainland rules. Tropical and relaxed with an island attitude, Beachbuoy is a unicase font with a full character set.

A decorative tech typeface, designed for use in broadcast station identities and animations (Wired TV), with a slight reference to Rand's Westinghouse logo, of which a huge sign was used as a dinner table in the corporate guest quarters.

A 1932 fan magazine from Spain entitled “Films Selectos” (“Select Films”) had those words hand lettered in a decorative Art Deco type style that was a cross between the “Futura Black” style of stencil influenced display lettering and “Fiesta” lettering. This hybrid design is now available digitally as Dance and Sing JNL in both regular and oblique versions.

Hand lettered, the title on the sheet music for a 1940s hit song "Ti-Pi-Tin" inspired Guadalajara JNL. The melody and original Spanish lyrics were written by Maria Grever, one of Mexico's first successful female composers, with English lyrics supplied by Raymond Leveen.
