Ritafurey is an extended sans in seven weights, with characteristic low bowls on the P and R. Modern, sleek and corporate, but with a dash of character. It has been used on tech logos, summer blockbuster movies and Playstation skateboarding games. This new version reinstates the original Unicase versions of the M and N (available through the Glyph palette or Opentype options), adds extensive international character support, redrawn and respaced glyphs, a new Regular weight for better weight flow distribution, and many other additional glyphs. (Note the the new weights differ slightly from the old of the same name, so may change the appearance of existing files.)

Somewhat extravagant and yet quite useful? Yes, absolutely. Meet Salted family: two awesome styles and a way cool picture font. Flyers, Intros from James Bond films and PlayStation games as well as the typeface Senator from Zuzane Licko inspired the Dutch designer Paul van der Laan to create his font Linotype Rezident. To its design, van der Laan says, I was designing a business card for a friend and I had a certain mood in mind for the typography. I tried to capture this mood in a couple of sketches, drew a few characters directly onscreen and just expanded them into a typeface." And so began Linotype Rezident, with its cool, technical and constructivist appearance which brings to mind computers and virtual reality. And the name? " The name of the font comes from the game Resident Evil. One of the main characters in the game is called Leon and the typeface was initially drawn for a friend of mine called Leon. It also refers to the city of The Hague - where I live and got my education - since it's often called 'de residentie'", where the queen and parliament of The Netherlands are seated."

I bought a pineapple the other day, because my kids really like pineapples. Ok, ok, it may not sound like something special to you - but keep in mind that pineapples in Holland are an expensive fruit. We mostly get the canned ones (which I don’t like too much). Anyway, when I was slicing up the pineapple, I thought I should name a font after this bizarre, but tasty, fruit. And so I did. Pineapple Daydream is a handmade serif. I am not sure how to classify it, but I am sure you’ll figure that out. Comes with a plantation of diacritics.
