Beware: Here be Dragons! It Be Dangeroues to Venture Yonder! This warning, inscribed on a rock at the entrance of a cave in an inaccessible mountain in the far north of Scotland, provided the inspiration for the font DragonFyre. While I have not seen the actual rock myself, I have based the font on an accurate drawing of the original inscription. DragonFyre speaks of lands beyond our ken, of wistful faerie kingdoms, of dark happenings and white magic. Use it at your peril, for its very use will conjure up worlds long forgotten, places of faeries, elves and hobgoblins, of ogres and giants. Those who read texts written in this font may well have their lives strangely changed. I have included a complete character set of 242 characters; upper and lower case; as well as all accented and special characters. All characters have been carefully letterspaced and kerned. For maximum dramatic impact I suggest you use combinations of both upper- and lower-case characters.

The name is derived from "liquid", meaning it is a fluid script that has a distinctive waveform. The "oia" part of the name comes from Sequoia, the sturdiest tree that came to my mind. Valet is deco moderne the way it was meant to be: Big, bold, classy, flashy, and clean at the seams. Its message is rich, strong, confident and reliable. Valet tells you that it’s used to thorns being part of every rose, that it can handle sharp objects just fine, and that it'd much prefer buying the tuxedo rather than renting it. This font grew out of an uncredited early 1970s all-cap film type called Expression. An appropriate deco lowercase was added, along with small caps, zippy titling caps, and Pan-European language support. With over 9250 glyphs, we bow our heads with the admission that we kind of got carried away with it.

I don't have an Uncle Oscar, so the font is not named after someone I know. The name just kind of stuck. Uncle Oscar is a pencil font, made with a black ‘Lamy’ pencil I took from my son Sam’s pencil box. It is a little rough, but very legible and comes in Regular and Italic. Of course, Uncle Oscar speaks a lot of languages.

I've always loved drawing faeries and I love using them in my scrapbooking pages. So after hunting around for a unique decorative fairy font for my crafts I couldn't quite find what I wanted to use, so I decided to create a whimiscal set of fairy drawings and characters that would suffice. This is a standard, plain face with no special distinguishing features. It was created over a period of four months for use in small text in a cartographer package. While the face was extremely suitable for the purpose it was designed for, the party who was to purchase the family outright decided upon another design, allowing me to offer it up for sale. The original design for this face is nothing new, and has been greatly influenced by many others already in existence. It was not intended to be flashy, nor eye-catching, and I believe I have managed to escape any individuality that could have affected the face. It displays well in the lower text sizes, and, in my own opinion, displays some characters more clearly than some other similar faces that are currently in use (not all, some). While individuality makes a typeface stand out from all the others, this style of design would have been compromised with it.

A personalized cursive written with the pointed brush The strange name of this font means nothing other than ”brush,“ but only the Dutch understand it. The typeface is spirited, amusing and flashy. I made the handwritten original of DeBorstel Brush quickly and without interruption with a pointed brush. In the capitals, DeBorstel Brush appears to be almost too balanced for handwriting. In contrast, the lower case letters are intentionally very individual and uneven. A bit more life is added to the typeface with ligatures activated which are constructed with alternative letter forms — and as a result, a number of problematic letter-combinations are improved. And if this typeface is still not lively enough for you, the additional alternative character forms a e g i j l n o s t u z are available with the Open Type-Function ”Discretional Ligatures“. DeBorstel Brush is suitable for all European languages. It includes ”Unicode Latin Extended-A,“ for Central and Eastern Europe incl. Turkish, and even Cyrillic and Greek, too.
