The popular Geogrotesque family becomes an extended system with the inclusion of three new members to the family; Geogrotesque Condensed, Geogrotesque Compressed and Geogrotesque Extra Compressed. Hand lettered Art Deco lettering for the title on the cover of the 1930s-era song "And I Still Do" provided the inspiration for Swing Era JNL. A bold, casual and friendly typeface, it features an intersecting inline through some of the characters. One could almost picture the hottest big band of the day promoted on a lobby card with this alphabet, beckoning all to come on in and "cut a rug".

New Clear Era is part of a large ongoing project investigating classicism and legibility. The regular version is the base font. Numerous permutations will be performed on this underlying skeleton. Also investigated are the ideas of an extended type family, and trying to understand what makes a contemporary legible, serif typeface. The Mix versions combine characters from the Roman and Display to make quirky fonts that can be comfortably used for setting text. Mix One is the most quirky; Mix Three is the least.

Geogrotesque Expanded Series comes in three widths: Wide, Extended and Expanded, that go between 120% and 200% of the normal width. Since the original Geogrotesque is slightly condensed, the Wide family becomes a good option for texts. Whereas the Extended and Expanded are ideal for display sizes. The design of Concert Series JNL is based on hand-lettering for a 1930s-era WPA (Works Progress Administration) poster for the Federal Music Project of New York City’s symphony concerts. Held every Sunday at the Theater of Music [located at 254 West 54th Street], the admission in those Depression-era days was 25 cents and 60 cents, with all seats reserved.

Nouveau Era JNL was adapted from the title of a hand-lettered advertisement found on the back of a 1920s-1930s piece of vintage sheet music.

Originally issued by the Palmer and Rey Type Foundry of San Francisco in 1884, this typeface bore the name Octagon Condensed, and is as fresh today as it was way back when. Both versions of this font support the Latin 1252, Central European 1250, Turkish 1254 and Baltic 1257 codepages.

Frederic W. Goudy (1865-1947) created over 100 typefaces during his lifetime. Like most type designers, he is known principally to most people only through his eponymously titled faces such as Goudy Modern, Goudy Old Style etc. This set includes one of Goudy's rarest Arts & Crafts styled faces, a font known as Aries. The font was originally created by Goudy for a private press in Eden, New York in 1926. Also included in this set are two decorative fonts: one font of 52 decorative Ornaments & one font that contains 52 Ampersands.
