VASARELY has famous roots, its name is related to optical arts own Victor Vasarely. Dropping the field of Op-Art, you already know where we have been aiming at. The REGULAR and LIGHT cuts of VASARELY are quite ordinary, rectangular, but legible typefaces, but with the BOLD and EXTRABOLD versions you will be able to build diverse illusive type illustrations and layouts. Being build on a strict grid with same dimensions, the eye-affecting black-and-white contrast should trigger different optical effects. As an extra we build an EXTRUDED version as well. Have fun!

Bigfoot is the fattest font ever made. It began as a simple exercise given to students in a design course: Most people don't appreciate type because they don't really know what it actually is. One way to understand it is looking at it like a combination of sculptures that have to work together to achieve a certain harmony, where each letter form is one of those sculptures. Most people understand and appreciate that a sculpture starts from a rock of an incomprehensible form, which is manipulated by someone into becoming the recognizable or abstract work of art it eventually is. Consider type design a kind of two-dimensional sculpting. You have a rectangle. Take away as a little as possible from it until it is recognizable as the letter A. Repeat to get the letter B, and so on. After all 26 minimal letters are made, do they actually function as an alphabet to build words and sentences that are recognizable to the human eye? This exercise can trigger thoughts and theories about the overall subjective nature of identifying abstract yet somewhat familiar shapes. It can go into the psyche of art in general. But one thing for certain, this exercise has so far helped a few people find a new appreciation for finely crafted typefaces. If you are a design educator, your students' typographical perspective and arguments would benefit from it. And if you are a designer, well, fat faces are all the rage these days, and this is as fat as it can get. Please note that that this typeface, due to its minimalistic nature, does not include accented characters. It does however support the full C0 Controls and Basic Latin Unicode set. Walking around Paris looking for inspiration for our latest people font, we encountered chic Parisians, yummy food markets, and bakeries on virtually every street corner with delicious baguettes and pastries. We were surprised how many people were cycling, motorcycling and rollerblading along the vast boulevards and side streets of Paris. We spotted classic French cars like the 2CV and Citroën CX and watched the world go by in one of the many sidewalk cafes whilst enjoying a 1664 or a café crème. With our latest people font, Paris, we tried to capture this unique Parisian atmosphere and hope we succeeded. All 64 illustrations are based on photographs taken on location over a period of time. The photographs are then hand traced to create high quality, detailed silhouettes.

Directory Board JNL is based on the classic plastic letters used on office building directory boards.

A short font for short people* La Jefa is very, very loosely based on a Christmas card I received years ago from my boss at the time. Designed to capture that personalized touch, it's a hand lettered font with a short x-height and ample spacing. Although all of the letters are lowercase, the uppercase provides a unique set of characters that can be mixed in for a more natural handwritten feel. *also people of tall or average height

This typeface has been influenced by the Melbourne city landscape. One building in particular reflects this typeface, this building is located at 90 Flinders Street, Melbourne, Australia. This font is also influenced by computer age fonts such as Bubbledot and Digital. This typeface aims to be bold, angular, dynamic and original. Its primary function is heading use.

Dueblo is a font family in serif, sans serif and semi serif with variability in weight and serifs. It's a classical antiqua with a sans serif basis, a semi serif version, two decor styles for headlines and initials and the italics in sans and in serif. The small caps, alternates as well as other useful optional and contextual open type features are included in the fonts. It has been in development since 2012 and in use for several projects and publications since 2015. Ballard Ave is inspired by old vintage signage found in Ballard, Washington, an old neighborhood of Seattle. Wappenbee is a 28 pixel bitmapped dingbat system for building crests for the modern, noble life. The origin of Ruskin was a commission for Michael Harvey to design a signage font for the Dean Gallery in Edinburgh. The style of the letterforms was to complement the period of the building which was originally an orphanage built in 1839. Only uppercase letters were created at first with the lowercase letters—and other characters necessary for a font—added later. With elegant and slightly extended letterforms, Ruskin fulfilled its rôle well as a signage font. It also functioned extremely well as a general display font. It is particularly suited to item descriptions and placards in galleries and museums which are frequently read from an angle, as well as head-on. The fonts have both proportionally and monospaced numerals.

RealFat is a typeface that has been started with the intention to create a very squared bold font with a futuristic look and feel. The squared shapes also refer to the architecture of big city buildings with small windows. This font fits perfect on modern posters, flyers and other artwork or pixel based work. Made in collaboration with my 14-year-old daughter, this font embodies her desire for people to rise up and resist injustice in this world. The font is neat, legible, and yet slightly playful.
