In the early years of the 20th Century, singer-dancer-actor-composer-playwright George M. Cohan was known as "The Man Who Owned Broadway". In 1904, Cohan was enjoying success with his latest creation, "Little Johnny Jones". Cohan gave America what would become a number of iconic songs, and both he and his compositions were immortalized in the 1942 biographical film "Yankee Doodle Dandy" starring James Cagney. An upstanding, dark horse of a font, Douglas comes in two sets of all capitals and is authoritarian while flying the flag for idiosyncrasies. The font was created using a loose brush and rough paper, and the authentic textures of the lettering indicates these rough and ready roots. Perfect for rustic signage.
