Although similar to Cooper Bold, Girder Poster's serifs are spurred and the design's inception came out of theatrical poster studios of the mid 1900's in New York.

Jazz Trumpeter JNL is an unusual type design modeled after the title card for the 1945 movie comedy “The Horn Blows at Midnight” starring Jack Benny and is available in both regular and oblique versions.
