1 posts view forum post #7284 This one got me for a while too. Although there is no one font for this purpose (designers are obviously free to pick and choose their type, and frequently do), I found that for the traditional credits on DVD and video packaging like you're describing, Bitstream's Zurich Light Extra Condensed absolutely does the trick. But there are plenty of alternatives kicking around. -T
1 posts view forum post #7493 Hey there SG- Here we go: your top one, though it looks straightforward, is a little difficult to put a finger on. Put it this way -- it's a heavyweight of either Helvetica, good ol' Arial, Swiss 721 BT or Zurich BT. This, I suppose, depends on exactly how dead-on you wish to be. But this sample is too small and has too few characters to be able to make perfect match. Arial, of course, comes free with Windows9x and upward. Helvetica, Swiss and Zurich are all available from MyFonts at varying prices. Your second font is much simpler. Originally it would have been Eurostile Extended, but there are clones floating all over the 'net on sites such as this under names like "Eurasia", "Eurose", "Microgramma", and on and on. A little delving and you'll eventually find what you're looking for. Good lick and also luck, -T

1 posts view forum post #6665 Hi there- I found the "new products" font for you - Zurich Light Extra Condensed - but the "business" one remains somewhat of a mystery: the closest match I could make was Bitstream's Swiss 924. Maybe that's enough, I don't know. But ther we are. Slightly, -Tørnquist
1 posts view forum post #17997 Probably Helvetica Heavy or the Swiss / Zurich / etc variants. Edit kk: CEGK!: Hamburg ExtraBold. - re: help with this font??
1 posts view forum post #13133 I hope you have the Univers Light Ultra Condensed on board. It is also known as Zurich by Bitstream. - re: Please Help-ASAP!
1 posts view forum post #8585 The IDs that seem to be obvious always are a bit tricky. Every drop in my veins shouts Helvetica. Yet there are so many copies with tiny variations around that is it really difficult to say with just a few characters. Looking a t the 't' I would excludes the Nimbus, Arial, Zurich and so. The 'e' excludes the Europa Grotesque. The 'a' excludes BTs Swiss. It is a long elimination process to be sure. So, I would go for the good old Helvetica. But from which foundry? No clue.
