search engine results will be returning matching designers as well.. ( good idea !!!
it shows where you are, not very pronounced though ;) When you choose a designer you get taken to a page ( for example: http://www.abstractfonts.com/fonts/designers/?designerID=250&p=1 )where it says
Category: West Wind Fonts
Fonts: 29
Pages: 2
the designer is "West Wind Fonts"
voting will be a pending wish for now ;)

Sorry Cat, my English is too bad to understand what you are talking about. Sorry.
Is it possible to show a pic ofthe old "letter head"? And had you had a look in the categories Old West and Circus?

1. Retro is in.
2. "Display/Headline". Wouldn't that be "Normal + Sans"
3. Agree with "Condensed".
4. I think it would be more descriptive for someone to see "Normal" rather than "Text".
5. Do you think there is enough distinction between Comic and Cartoon to warrant separate categories? How would you describe in plain english each of those?
6. Slab? "Normal + Sans + Square"
My suggestions:
7) Add "People" for dingbats and other fonts that feature human shapes, faces, etc. Also, "Animals"
8) Merge Initial and Display under "Initial"
9) How do you feel about "Industrial"? Would you miss it?
Another thing i am considering is grouping the categories which will make them much easier to digest. It will clear up confusion with things like "Foreign" which is meant to be fonts that have foreign character sets and there is "Foreign look" which would contain "Greek" "Oriental" "Russian" "Old West". Any other "look" suggestions?

I'm looking for a font similar to the one on the attached pic (scanned from an old Letraset catalog). Most common use: Wild West wanted posters! Can anyone help? :)
Timbo.

aeroberator (West Virginia USA) will not be very happy with your answer Uwe. It is convinced it is a font and it is free and that it should be given right away.
aeroberator is in fact a thingie with a rather short fuse ... it may blow-up itself.

Hi guys,
Do any of you font mavens have an idea of what this font might be?
To my relatively untrained eye, it looks something like Verdana, but the dots on the 'i', 'j' and ':' are circular, not square, and the numbers are simpler - there is no base on the '1', for example, as there is in Verdana.
I've done all the Googling I can think of, to no avail. I'm afaid I'm an utter newbie to this stuff - I'm attempting to recreate some signs for my brother's business car after the old one was written off.
I'm not sure I can repay font expertise in kind, but I will be very grateful if any sharp eyes out there can lend a hand (to mix metaphors rather badly).
Cheers,
-Tim West
