I was told this was Buffet Script but I compared it to the sample on Veer.com and, though similar, it doesn't seem to be identical. Can anyone identify it?

Mary, note the different H's, a's - so this has been drawn by hand, and not a font. For script fonts I suggest you to look for the fonts made by Rob Leuschke or Alejandro Paul.

Thanks Alex, and I shall check out handwriting fonts. There is something of the same feel to Letraset's CHILLER, and I may decide to go that route - I was looking for a font with the slightly rustic feel of Oriental bamboo brushwork.

I feel for you. This is one of the finest typefaces I've ever laid eyes on, and I actually tried to get my hands on it a couple of months ago. Eventually I contacted M/M (Paris), the designers for a lot of Ms. Gudmundsdottir's recent releases, only to be told that the font is theirs and theirs alone and is, was and never will be available either for free or commercially. Feel free to contact them yourself: if you have more luck, then well done you. You can e-mail them here: anyone@mmparis.com.

Does anyone know if there is a reasonable equivalent for Steven Rapp's wonderful font Memoir, or in the alternative a more frugal place to purchase it?
I love it, but $59 for it at Veer is not doable, at least right now.

I'm looking for this font. Aramis is VERY similar but the Vs etc veer off to the left instead of the right with Aramis.
Thoughts?

not a duty... just a option that you have, and can do, if you feel like it. :)
