3 posts view forum post #6744 I changed it to GRAY8 bitmap and result is still the same - 4 as bufsize. That's what it's value is before I call it the second time. I checked the return value of GetLastError(), and it was zero. I guess this means there wasn't any error(?!). It would have returned a non-zero value after some error. And the fonts are not corrupted!! I had tried changing fonts and sizes earlier, and this time also, but the return value is always four bytes. Don't ask me the exact error message, cos I dunno how to use FormatString() for this! But GetLastError()'s return value was zero. If the trouble is with memory DCs, read that part about CDC::CreateCompatibleDC() with NULL as argument, it had something which I din't understand - When a memory device context is created, GDI automatically selects a 1-by-1 monochrome stock bitmap for it. GDI output functions can be used with a memory device context only if a bitmap has been created and selected into that context.[/b:b4086b634e] I don't think so, but could the trouble due to this? I have another doubt - will GetStockObject() be required for this? Looks like I'll have to go ahead with GGO_NATIVE unless we find some solution soon enough! :D
3 posts view forum post #14076 I've followed the directions on downloading unzipping and adding new font into my pc, but only 1 or 2 work... about 7-8 dont show up at all in my programs when I want to use them. They are saved in there and it shows up on the font list, but it's blank???
1 posts view forum post #11044 You know what swallow, I did not. How am I supposed to know what Disney uses for a font in a film? I took the trouble to look at the Disney fontaholics site. But that's it. Am I really expexted to go out to a place a 100 km away to buy a film, to claw the frames to find a font to ID it? Only because it is too much trouble to post a pict? Sorry, disappointment all over the place, I won't.
2 posts view forum post #15539 I don't think I would get myself in such trouble for something that is just boring ... but then, I am just the Kat ...

2 posts view forum post #13657 I'm trying to install the Get A Grip font. It seems to install okay but I can't use it in my Word doc. It's the only one that won't work. Is there a new copy somewhere that anyone knows? Does anyone know who created it so maybe I could get it directly from them?
