or category of
TRAJAN ?

Hi. I am looking for courier in true type font, but NOT courier new. Here is my problem: I use Visual Studio and always used Courier as the font. VS2010 only allows ttf fonts and therefore only courier new which I really dislike as it has far too big line spacing and therefore I don't see as many lines of code as I'd like.
Does this font exist? If not could you recommend one? I have tried many but they are not really satisfactory. The nearest I found is one called Rod Regular but there the numbers are awful
Thanks

Hi,
This font is a little bit like the ancient Trajan.
Adobe Trajan Pro is also not free. You might find
a free Trajan as a substitute? Her is one:

I'm Sorry. You might consider to spend the money ...
MODERATOR SAYS: No commercial fonts for free here!
Sorry Moderator, you was wrong. This is no
commercial font. It's free
ftp://ftp.dante.de/pub/tex/fonts/trajan/README
and part of CTAN (Comprehensive TeX Archive
Network
ftp://ftp.dante.de/.
But it lacks a lot of characters. The CTAN is
really clear. There are only legal fonts with
the permission to redistribute. See the ReadMe
files in the packages.
The Trajan letters are also for free as a PD
SVG-file on wikipedia. See:
http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:TrajanSpec3a.svg
So it should be no problem to generate a own
version of the capitalis monumentalis like the
Trajan on CTAN.
Bye Bye

Looks like Jupiter Pro - overlooked because of the more popular "movie" font Trajan.

Hi,
I used to have Burton's Nightmare TTF and it worked fine with Win98. I have a new computer with Windows 2000 and when I tried to use it (just double-clicking the font even), I get an error message that it is NOT a valid font.
Is there a version for Windows 2000 of the Burton's Nightmare TTF?
Thanks,
Ellen

Optimus Princeps and Trajan Pro are the only ones I have that meet all the serif requirements.
Now whether either comes in condensed I don't have time to look (lunch is over lol)
