1 matches comment Hello people! I'm tired of Titillium and TitilliumText22L! It's not legible in small sizes or in 11, 13, 14px in the sites or blogs! Titillium isn't like Arial, Helvetica and Verdana. Titillium is totally legible only in Word 2007 with optimized ClearType, Paint, Photoshop, Illustrator, Inkscape and Gimp. I need a free and ORIGINAL font which... — sans-serif — totally legible in small sizes (10 to 14px) — contemporary — corporate — fashionable — modern — squarish — techno — text. Thanx u all! Kevin
1 matches comment Hi, It's a custom Font from H&F called GeneralGG. And have a look at the PDF for the Google Map API: http://maps.google.com/help/maps/casestudies/maps-api-web.pdf and see: http://new.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/forum/case/291559/ Bye bye
1 matches comment uploaded image How right you are RF. Gamer Bold Italic is the one. Has the correct E and the cut-off corners instead of the rounded corners of the Cornered Italic. We now also know the origin of Cornered/Chisel: Checkmate (1972 or even earlier). The Ultra Serif SF Italic is identical to the Cornered Italic so no need to put it in the pict. That said, I wonder how Canada Type / Rebecca Alaccari can claim the design (2004-2006) as modeled after a few 1972 magazine advertisement letters. Some modification of the Checkmate, true, some characters added, true. But a new design? Oops ... But then, who seems to care - see my humble thoughts in this thread. For those interested in the details, have a look here for the character maps.
1 matches comment Well, one goal you set yourself you will undoubtly achieve - not being taken too seriously! If it is mainly text let's hope for the teacher it is not a lot. With chubby cheeks [img:a9ae15cb14]http://www.abstractfonts.com/fonts/previews/4344.gif[/img:a9ae15cb14] I doubt wether he/she will ever reach the end. On the other hand, if that is also one of the goals you set for yourself - that one is easy too. But then why not use the 'piss off the professor' font? [img:a9ae15cb14]http://www.italiasoftware.it/download/font00/P/thm_Piss%20Off%20The%20Professor.gif[/img:a9ae15cb14] Aheader with 'chubby cheeks'? Well if it has to be that wild, why not the 'Arcanum'? [img:a9ae15cb14]http://www.abstractfonts.com/fonts/previews/9239.gif[/img:a9ae15cb14] May I suggest another one? Not too serious too but easily associated with geography (look at your old maps), the Caslon antique [img:a9ae15cb14]http://www.abstractfonts.com/fonts/previews/9571.gif[/img:a9ae15cb14] and Caslon Antique Italic for your headers. 1 matches comment Hi, The typeface "capitalis monumtalis" is not intellectual property of Adobe or any other "capitalist". It's nearly 2000 years old and a heritage of menkind. So it should be legal to use the original character map from the roman capitalis monumentalis, but it should be illegal to use the character maps of Adobes Trajan or Canadatype Jupiter. http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/adobe/trajan/ http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/canadatype/jupiter/ But if the character map does not include one intellectual property of any third party and is declared as public domain? I found at least 5 different versions of free Trajan and some are "correctly" declared as "capitalis monumentalis". And now have a look at castletypes Goudy Trajan: http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/castletype/goudy-trajan/ Pricing ist 0 $, in words zero dollar. As a registered user you can donwload ist for free. ;-) This Goudy Trajan should work for the majority. But for some people (with Inkscape on UNIX-like OS) there is still a problem with required alternate characters (K, Q and R) in the same (!) fontfile (unlike Jupiter and Jupiter alternate). bye bye
