1 matches view forum post #5863 so technically,AF can't be sued if we tell someone where to get a "font" (other than AF) we just can't tell them where to get a typeface. Right??
1 matches view forum post #17625 Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. So, I'm guessing you're not a lawyer, but i'll ask anyway. Say we go ahead and use this font without purchasing rights because technically no ownership was claimed... Years from now we're making millions of dollars on our products bearing this font (that's our plan) -- can the font creator come to us after the fact and sue for money? Do you know if there would be legal grounds for that?
1 matches view forum post #15731 Thank you, both of you, so much. I know I sound weird, but I really hoped to find a font like that. It's kind of an inner pain, a poetic «dolour», to see things you're getting used through the years change. I would have loved to save that fantastic R and the S too. Technically speaking, Kat, I never realized the difference between the two T. Maybe because I love tipography but I'm nothing more than a graphic designer, maybe because when you just see the same thing everyday you end up loving it without noticing the little things – those that make a difference for things and even people. Again, thank you both for your efforts. I'm definitely obliged.
1 matches view forum post #13560 Thanks guys... Hardware problem, 1 in a 100000000000 chance. We won a lottery, so to speak... (technically speaking, 2 out of 4 hard-drives failed in a RAID-5 array of drives, which can handle up to 1 drive failure). At one point it was even questionable if i had anything left at all due to subsequent daily and weekly backup corruption. I could have had to go back 1 month, but folks at a data recovery co restored everything from the damaged drives. So we're back up, with all major parts replaced on the failed server. Keep fonting and your fingers crossed that we don't "win another lottery"
