I have several fonts that I can't find. One in particular that I use often is Lydian. I purchased this font in a package. It shows up in my font folder but when you click on it-all that appears is an error message. I tried deleting the file and reinstalling the font from the CD I purchased but again it gives me an error. There doesn't show to be any viruses. There are few others I have noticed that are not working. Can anyone help?

do you get the error when you copy it to the fonts folder? or when you try to open the ttf font file with Photoshop?
In the second case, you'll definitely get an error, no matter what you try!
In first case, if you get the error, then maybe it means that TTF fonts are not supported by Mac. But I am not sure about this, I don't have a Mac! :(
Another thing could be that the font file is corrupted, but I am pretty much sure that this isn't the case.
In one of these posts, you've said why you should create any text in Photoshop! So where does Photoshop come into the picture?
So, where do you get the error? If you copy it to the fonts folder, you may not get any message even if the font has been successfully installed, atleast not in Windows.

Hello,
Downloaded a font from your site, installed on an XP machine. Used in an InDesign layout, when exporting to PDF I recieved the following error.
"Starstruck: This font could not be embedded because of licensing restrictions. The font must be installed to view or print this file properly with Adobe Acrobat."
Using XP SP2, Indesign 2.02 and Acrobat 6.0
Thanks in advance, would like to purchase library once it's working.

I've downloaded some fonts and unzipped. However, after I placed it in the system folder (per installing instructions for MAC OS users), the fonts won't load. The system returns an error message. When I locate the font and double click, it returns a error message indicating that it "cannot be opened because no sample is provided for it". Also, I cannot add it to Suitcase 3.0 to use as temporary set. I am using Mac OS 9 on a G4 and I've also tried on Mac OS 8.6. Can you help?
