That is because under WinXP a font is not valid if the unique font identifier is not incorporated in the naming. It will open under Win9X.
For your info, the Melrose is a clone of the Staccato 555.

Thanks for the help. I actually ran a comparison and it was Staccato 555 that I actually used to create this. Almost identical!!! Thansk again!

The word "Racing" is written with the Staccato 555 BT, if you've got Corel Draw, then you'll find it on the CD.
For a "The Dirt"-lookalike try the category Distorted here at abstractfonts or at www.dafont.com. May be you have to combine two or three different fonts. The "Th" surely is handmade!
