Hey man, I have the same problem when the letters have to many nodes (busy vectors like the spray paint). I have not been able to solve it either. I am using FontLab Studio 5.0.2. Could it be the version of FontLab Studio?

Oh, silent movies with stuffed animals and humor.
If the humor is somewhat like cheese in spray cans, than it's allright.
You may place a little note - i like it being noted - an you may give me a little hint when your movies can be seen in the WWW.
Have a nice time!

Thanks so much! I googled Benguiat Book and it seems that Adobe owns it, or at least I couldn't find it for free. Being ignorant of such things, I never thought of a font as something one might have to pay for. (It probably takes a lot of time to come up with new fonts, and obviously the people doing this would want to get paid, duh!) Unfortunately, I'm one of the few who is still uncomfortable with online purchasing.
After looking up Caslon No.224 Book, I agree that the "b" does look like someone used that font initially and then distorted the letter in a paint program (or maybe it's italic?).
Again, thanks so much for your help. The kindness of your 30-second reply saved me hours of manual comparisons. Perhaps now I'll resign myself to cleaning up the letters manually in a paint program, though I've been dreading this.
