Hi,
Just wondering if anyone recognizes the font in the Cap Est logo? Anything that comes close would be cool!
Thnx,
Erik

Thank you very much! This thrills me -- I've been looking for it forever.
I'm not on my home computer now, but I'll download it as soon as I get home (around 3 pm EST).
After that I'll post again, and I won't need it again -- you can take it down as soon as you'd like after I post again. I just wanted to give you an idea now of how long it could wait.
Thanks again -- you've done me a really huge favor!

@skulls:
Alex' timezone is EST, thus 6 hours behind Italy. Also Alex has more things to do - like making a living - than only watching this forum. And Alex likes fishing so is not always behind the screen. All in all it depends on the time (your time) of uploading and Alex seeing it. When uploading it is always better to also add a comment so that Alex actually sees that a font has been uploaded.
Normally a new upload, a font or a bat, gets approved within 24 hours but as you can see from the above, sometimes it can take longer. I figure you deleting your first post with the (huge) pict of a foot did not help speeding up the process ...

Comunicare necese est:
Oops! Have missed that one. Must have been on holidays. That's claimed to be a commercial font. It is known as Poster Bodoni BT (Bitstream), Poster Bodoni CG ATT (Miles Inc.), Poster Bodoni ATT Bold (also Miles Inc.), Bodnoff (Corel) and, surprise, also known as Ogilvy Poster (Alltype conversion of Bodnoff). Now how come 3 foundries claim the copyright on a typeface that is a classic - if not to say an antique?
Sniff here and there or find Bodnoff here
btw, Alex, holidays were fine. I think I'll go again in a few weeks. After this one I deserve it!
@Schwalben Koenig:@koeiekat:
... Riqui wanted some modern-looking faces, which - in my opinion - only a few serif-faces provide. ...

Sure my friend, but the Kat thinks that is irrelevant. If a resumee is a 300 [not spelled out this time] pages book the only thing that is relevant - and let's talk the shoptalk you ant I know - is that the text is consumable. If it is not, the result is indeed the waste paper basket. Thus, whatever is asked for, in a case like this the type must - MUST - be one that is extremely easy and comfortably to read. Like basically a Century 751 for example. Failing the ease of reading is nothing else as failing to communicate and thus is a useless resumee.
Now you and I - and a lot of others - know that a sans is not the perfect type for running text. For tables fine, for short technical descriptions fine too. But not for page after page after page ... thus?? I can not but advice to use a serif ... or shut up.
So that is why it took me a while to respond. What was asked for may do more damage than good. That is why Tashini Jones advice was so good. That is why I said don't bother too much about the type - bother about the layout. Make it consumable. Or in nowdays speak "fastfood".
Yep, we talk a lot about fonts. But in the end it all boils down to "comunicare necese est".
But then, what does the Kat know about communication? Fails all the time right?
