I would like to know if there is an alias for this font.
I resembles Walt Disney font but that's not it.
It is used by embossed graphics companies for their printing.
Can't seem to find an alias anywhere.
Thanks for any input

AdriaDB (NOT "Adria DB") (415 hits in 0.03 sec) is, as DB indicates, a copy font. DB=PrimaFonts alias Classic Font Corporation alias SoftMaker Software alias Brendel Informatik alias QBF (Quick Brown Fox) alias Christine Mauerkirchner alias Rainer Grunert alias ...
DB (and/or SF) fonts have always been sold or have been bundled with other software like Serif's software (Page Plus, Draw Plus etc.) using the SF suffix. Now they can be found all over the place.
The real thing that sits behind the Adria is the Ariston (Berthold).

For those interested, read this.

Now, let's be fair Heron. as softlad already pointed at, Joanne did not really ask for the Algerian for free, did she? She asked for something similar. In fact she is looking for something similar to the Algerian Basic/Plain.
This is a rare request. Very rare. No-one ever wants that one. Everyone always wants the fancy version. Maybe that is why it has never been copied.
If $20 is too much and Joanne can live with the fancy version with the shadow line - or is willing to just remove these lines there is ample choice. There are a number that come close to very close to the Algerian.
Closest first: the Algiers by Corel which came for free with the Corel Draw trial version and the Tangiers by Bay Animation, a bit on the rough side on the shadow line but for the rest an almost exact copy of the Algiers. Very small difference in aspect ratio with the Algerian.
Also close - but not that close is one font that lives under three names the Albania, Algeria and Lynwood which has capitals and numbers only. The Algeria and the Lynwood are by A.Carr. The Albania has all info removed. Probably censored in the years of the cold war.
Then we have one with very rudimentary shadow lines that lives under two names, the AlgerikaDB by Christine Maurerkircher und Rainer Grunert RWE alias Christine Mauerkirchner alias Rainer Grunert alias PrimaFonts alias ClassicFontCorporation, USA RWE and the Aventure Normal by Star Division GmbH.
Noticed the tiny difference between the Algerian and the AlgerianD?

I know of 2 that are very much like this. They are so much alike - and from alias vendors - that both are certainly clones. Just can't find the original - yet.
Try Baryon Display and Griffon Xtrabold. Both have to be condensed to match.

Evening Heron, remember the Raghu and his alias Naji Tilley and the Optima font?

This was done 200 dpi at 320 pt, anti alias smooth. Then some gaussian blur, adjust the levels to b/w and then resize to 404 pixels wide at 200 dpi.

No match this time Nicole. But I have something that comes reasonably close, the Flange BQ Italic alias the Flower SH-Italic. You will have to modify the t or replace the t by one of another font. It needs tight kerning and then you'll have to stretch the whole thing with some 30%.
Not an elegant solution but it might work.
