... a decent font manager? Back in the days when I worked on a Mac I used Suitcase, and loved it, being able to load fonts in groups rocked.
I used Adobe Type Manager for a lil while on the pc, but doesn't it just handle postscript fonts?
Really looking for something like Suitcase again, but would also like to know if there is a font manager that separates your font types (script, block, serif/non-serif, etc) into groups when you go to the font selection in whatever graphics program you use.
Any help would be appreciated!

Hi,
I'm trying to ID this font, as I've been hired to build a website to advertise the book it's used on.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
cheers ~

Hello, I help host and manage a web site for a Welsh Scout District which is under Scouting UK. Last year the Scouting Association of UK came up with a makeover for their visual branding. Integral to this branding is their insistence on the commercial font The Serif.
For an example of the new The Serif font in use head to the Scout UK web site and check out the graphic "i.VOLUNTEER":

In a recent upgrade for this District web site we looked for a font that might be an acceptable alternative to the commercial font. So far the closest we have found is called SerifA.

Is there a much closer alternative free font to The Serif that we could use to bring us more in line with the National model?

The least I can suggest:
1. Retro
2. Display / Headline (although this could be rather unclear to most non-typo addicts)
3. Condensed (I know, most fonts that are Condensed have it written in their filename, but anyway)
4. "Normal" is okay, although it should be "Text"
5. DaFont has Cartoon AND Comic, which are quite good descriptions. We have Cartoon, but we don't have Comic
Any other suggestions are welcome. Alex?
PS. Also would like to see "Slab Serif" category, just in case :)
