Having spent all of my teenage years in the 90s, it's no surprise that this very particular decade resonates so deeply in me. As a graphic designer, I still think the strongest visual languages of the last 50 years or so come from that time. Bold aggressive attitude is what most people remember from those designs. What they seem to forget—or, rather, to have completely ignored—is that some incredibly elegant and subtle styles emerged from those years. It still amazes me how they reflected so well the period in which they were conceived, taking style construction to the next level. Riff is a natural development of some of my thoughts about the 90s. Mixed with a very contemporary feel, it embodies several idiosyncrasies I absorbed over years of exposure to favorite design pieces, fonts, music, films and other cultural products that share the same spirit.

Rolf is a modern font of condensed typeface, Rolf is a narrow neutral geometric font designed for headlines and posters. Tin Roof is a unique and original Jukebox font based on the 1958 hand lettered movie poster from "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof". The slightly modulated baseline and shaky letters give the font both a silly and sinister aspect. Perfect for any dramatic, spooky or sultry subject, Tin Roof has all the allure of a hot southern night! Jukebox fonts are available in OpenType format and downloadable packages contain both .otf and .ttf versions of the font. They are compatible on both Mac and Windows. Batchelder Ruff is a "battered" version of the typeface used for titling in the catalogs and advertising of the Batchelder Tile Company in Pasadena, California in the 1920s. The original source characters were smoother, but they were also handlettered, so that every character was different. This digitized version contains uniform characters, but its "rough" quality preserves the hand-drawn look. It is designed primarily as a headline font, and thus is best used in All-Caps in larger sizes.

Ruff N Ready is a little bit rough around the edges and is ready for use on any project! This font has an innocent charm about it but is a bit of a non-conformist. Is it a serif font? Sans serif? A script font? It’s all of those and more! It’s legible enough to be used for body copy but holds its own in a headline or title. You’ll find a few unusual ligatures in the font and some fun alternates. I hope you enjoy using Ruff N Ready as much as I enjoyed designing it!

I really like the UK and I quite enjoy the British slang. Off Yer Trolley is one such expression. It means ‘behaving in an unusual way or doing something silly’. It just popped in my head when I was looking for a name for this rather silly font. Off Yer Trolley is a handmade cartoon or kids font. As the name implies, this font certainly behaves in an unusual way and you can use it for something silly as well!

Brush Off JNL is based on the hand-lettered title from the cover of the 1955 sheet music of "Love is A Many Splendored Thing". The unique, artistic and somewhat eccentric letter shapes are both reminiscent of show card lettering and calligraphy. The design is available in both regular and oblique versions.

The free form hand lettering from the titles and credits of the 1964 French film comedy “Le Gendarme de Saint-Tropez” [“The Policeman from Saint-Tropez”] was the basis for Off Duty JNL – which is available in both regular and oblique versions.

In an 1896 specimen catalog for American Type Founders there is a design called Geometric Gothic. The lettering style looks as if it’s ahead of its time; foreseeing the 1980s. With its squared characters, some pointed overhangs and modified character shapes, this type design is now available as Squared Off JNL, in both regular and oblique versions.

Hand-drawn by my 10-year-old daughter, this font comes in 4 whimsical styles- chunky, 3D, regular, and outline.

Off the Wall JNL is a unique typeface that combines graffiti-style lettering with a brick wall background. special keystroke features give you a complete "wall of text": { (left bracket) places a smaller closed end cap on the left side of the text. } (right bracket) places a medium closed end cap on the right side of the text. [ (left brace) places a regular closed end cap on the left side of the text. ] (right brace places a regular closed end cap on the right side of the text. | (vertical bar key) adds a space between words. \ (backslash) adds a larger space between words.
