Hi Joanne, Ive had a quick look around and havent seen anything that is similar to 'Algerian'. Looks like if you need it you will have to buy it (OUCH!).

As I read it, Joanne did not ask for a free copy of 'Algerian' but asked for a "free font similar to Algerian" Didnt appear to me to be wanting and or asking to steal it.
Also as she correctly pointed out there are many requests posted on this site that are similar and do not receive the same reaction.
Bit harsh dont you think? Maybe an apologie might be nice.

That dear Swallow, is because it is the Kabel Ultra - stretched to the death. I'll never forget that one since Heron pointed me at it's existence.

You don't have to add a comment. I get email notification when someone uploads a font. As soon as i see that email i check out the font.
Sometimes, as kk pointed out, i'm away for a few days so your font may take up to 4-5 days to get approved but most of the time it will be within few hours, sometimes within minutes.

Yep. That's why I pointed #23 to the perfect match.
The Velocette is a sort of rarity, Very hard to find. I only encountered it once some years ago when someone was not very careful - to say the least. Never seen it again.

You MUST see the irony in you asking for a font id, without looking around, in a thread that you started to complain about ppl who do that.

The 'R' was or is pretty nasty! I went with 'Meta med caps' in the end. Client didn't know any different until I pointed it out! Yes is cold here at moment 16 this morning!!!!!!! Brrrrrrrrrr toooo cold to type!
