1 posts view forum post #4302 Hi, I have lost a font that I probably installed from one of many, many programs over the last 2-3 years. The only close font I've found is one called HarlowD on the Corel Draw 9 Suite. The is a 99% match, except that HarlowD is a hollow font and my original font wasn't hollow, it was solid. If anyone has any info on the solid version, I'd greatly appreciate it. I created a logo for a web site with the original font and now the client wants more text in the same font.. .. eeekk !! TIA !

1 posts view forum post #11698 These, Lars, are all variations on the Eurostile//Microstyle... There are tons of copies/clones/variations around. One will be a stencil variation, another an outline/hollow/... whatever someone may have named it. So. you'll have to search. Success.

1 posts view forum post #9904 Our retail company is celebrating a 50th birthday next year and I'm looking for 1950's type fonts for Macs. I like "fifties hollow" but cannot seem to locate a Mac compatible download. Any other suggestions? I will need a font face that is suitable for circular advertising, direct mail, etc. Any other fontfaces that would work? Or am I doing something wrong with the PC version of the download?

1 posts view forum post #4918 Fonts can't have a visible outline - it's a feature of fontmaking. So there're no fonts with two colours. What you see ist the filling. When you think of "outline-fonts" with a hollow area - the "outline" is not a real outline too, it's the filling of the letter. The rest is transparent and cannot be filled with colour. For to get the desired effekt you have to use a programm like CorelDraw or Freehand or Illustrator. There you can add an outline in any colour to any font. There's no other way to get the effect. Ute
1 posts view forum post #17746 Casper, we help identify fonts. We don't make fonts 'on demand' - but I assume you mean 'a request'. What you want you can do yourself. With ease: goto high-logic.com > download the trial version of FontCreator. Install. Open (a copy of) Aklantic. > Tools > Glyph Transformer > Effects > Hollow. Move it to the script box (arrow) > OK. If the outline is too thick or too thin to your liking close the font without saving and start again. When you are happy with result, BEFORE saving, goto Format, Naming, and change the font name, unique font Identifier, version and postscript name to avoid conflicts with the original.
