1 posts view forum post #17251 Thanks Alex, and I shall check out handwriting fonts. There is something of the same feel to Letraset's CHILLER, and I may decide to go that route - I was looking for a font with the slightly rustic feel of Oriental bamboo brushwork. Cheers, Cate
1 posts view forum post #5451 Aloha: A while ago i used an oriental symbol for dog. It was square in shape and red on black with the letter(s) being red. For the life of me I can't find it anywhere (of course I forgot where it resides). Would someone help me in locating fonts and or characters or symbols (I'm not sure you could really call it a font cause i haven't seen it in any of the sites i've visited for the past few hours). Mahalo, Jeff...

1 posts view forum post #6417 have you looked at Oriental[/b:f7f5962106] category? http://www.abstractfonts.com/fonts/static_Oriental_1.html
3 posts view forum post #18985 1. Retro is in. 2. "Display/Headline". Wouldn't that be "Normal + Sans" 3. Agree with "Condensed". 4. I think it would be more descriptive for someone to see "Normal" rather than "Text". 5. Do you think there is enough distinction between Comic and Cartoon to warrant separate categories? How would you describe in plain english each of those? 6. Slab? "Normal + Sans + Square" My suggestions: 7) Add "People" for dingbats and other fonts that feature human shapes, faces, etc. Also, "Animals" 8) Merge Initial and Display under "Initial" 9) How do you feel about "Industrial"? Would you miss it? Another thing i am considering is grouping the categories which will make them much easier to digest. It will clear up confusion with things like "Foreign" which is meant to be fonts that have foreign character sets and there is "Foreign look" which would contain "Greek" "Oriental" "Russian" "Old West". Any other "look" suggestions?
1 posts view forum post #5499 Far East would be the best... check out the "Oriental" category, there might be more of those. http://www.abstractfonts.com/fonts/search/full_listing.htm?kw=far+east
1 posts view forum post #21979 view details for free font #14179 This font is based on 'Hangeul', the Korean alphabet, and reflects calligraphy typeface. I recommend that you use this font if you want to create an oriental mood.
1 posts view forum post #8784 I finally found it - The FREAK Font - at these two sites, different prices: http://www.fonts.com/findfonts/detail.htm?pid=401394 http://www.fonthaus.com/products/fonts/view.cfm/sku/CO100007.cfm (cheaper price) And last, but certainly not least, right here at Abstract Fonts (once I knew the name): http://www.abstractfonts.com/search/freak Why it's classified in Oriental is beyond me. :::shrugs shoulders::: Anyway, I think the person that designed the logo for HOMEPAGES[/b:d399b131b9] added the Smiley Face to the letter "O" after the fact. Have a terrific day!
