4 posts view forum post #25255 Hi guys. I found this font on a website several days ago as it is for a tattoo I'm about to get. The problem is, the font it's listed as brings up no search engine results bearing anything that resembles this whatsoever. It looks like a combination of Beowulf, Olde English, and Elvish script. I've attempted to contact the poster with no avail. Can someone help me? Ideally I just need an alphabet so my tattoo artist can sketch up the quote I'm getting. It's from Shakespeare, so it needs some justice. I'm crossing my fingers here. A week of sleepless nights trying to track this down has proven futile.

1 posts view forum post #12246 Dougie, is the font from the sample clean or is it destructed like that? If it is clean, the base is Olde English, a revival by Dieter Steffmann. You may also have a look at English Towne there for similar feelings. And all the others, too. BTW, what does the "Goblin King" look like? And Dougie, you made everything right. There is no forum-rule to first post a font and then ask. How could that be? No, everything fine, let's be happy alltogether.
1 posts view forum post #9045 OK. First on the A: I gamble that thet swapped the Fette Fraktur A with the old Anglican for readebility as the Fette Fraktur A may not be recognized by many as an A. Still, why swapping the s? The thing simply does not match with the rest of the text. It's a dissonant. Anyway the one that comes closest is the Engravers Old English. Exept for missing the dionagal line. Maybe that got lost in the scan? There are tons of copycats of the Engravers Old English around. Have a look at these and be amazed.
