are the publishers legally allowed to send the fonts for their print job to the printing company? Or is that violating something multi-computer license?

i would argue that centralizing work, tools, entertainment, etc is nice sometimes. people stream their own music from home so they can listen everywhere and anywhere.
i would prefer not to bother with multi-computer licences for a fontmanager software if i can do the same with an online account

I have a site where users can create their own business cards and select preferred font. If I buy a font with 1-5 licenses will this be covered in this solution (multi users through the web + printing).

Nope, this is custom my friend. A lot of people have tried to get near to this with no result. But Alex here on AF has put a nice category which is called Multilined. You can choose your weapon for yourself: http://www.abstractfonts.com/category/51/Multi-lined
