Louise font was based on the art of Louise Marie (lou) Loeber, a Dutch painter. She was born in Amsterdam in 1894 and flirted with several styles like De Stijl, Cubism and Bauhaus. Her artworks are characterized by a sober use of geometric shapes; lines, rectangles and triangles. Louise font consists of Caps, but the lower and upper case glyphs are quite different. Louise comes with extensive language support.

Louis is a faithful digital rendition and expansion of a design called Fanfare, originally drawn by Louis Oppenheim in 1927. In 1997, Roger Black ordered new weights for Tages Anzeiger. A redesign of the Baltimore Sun, with Ionic FB as text, required further growth. The Hamilton Wood Type & Printing Museum staff is honored to partner with New York-based graphic designer Louise Fili on her first font release project. The new font, “Mardell,” is named for Hamilton retiree and wood type cutter Mardell Doubek. This is the fourth font to be cut for the museum as part of the Wood Type Legacy Project. "The bold, lively angularity of Italian futurist letterforms made it a natural choice for wood type.” says Fili. This digital version presents Fili’s wood type design for use in web and print applications.

This roly-poly, rollicking display font is based on a design from the 1946 book Blue print text book of sign and show card lettering by Charles Louis Henry Wagner, who seems to have had an aversion to combination words (like blueprint, textbook and showcard).

Spiral is a digital transcription of a design by Joseph Blumenthal (1897-1990) which was hand-cut by Louis Hoell and cast by the Bauer foundry in 1930. The design with an italic added was later cut for Monotype and issued in 1936 as Emerson 320.

It was manufactured and sold through the Inland Type Foundry of St. Louis, MO. Digitally redrawn as Merchant Trade JNL, it’s now available in both regular and oblique versions.

Louis L. Lemoine created the font Linotype Spacera in 2002. Linotype Spacera is a fun font from the new TakeType No 4 which contains 182 fresh, new, experimental, freaky and above all contemporary fonts. This is a contemporary typeface that could be a good choice when a modern futuristic look is desired.

This “Anglican” style typeface is based on an 1880s release from St. Louis’ Central Type Foundry originally named Euclid. It’s amazingly versatile, easily at home in both formal and fun settings. All versions of this font include the Unicode 1250 Central European character set in addition to the standard Unicode 1252 Latin set.

A faithful reproduction of the common French Ronde of the nineteenth century; the design originates at the Inland Typefoundry in St. Louis as French Script and was revised by Morris Fuller Benton in 1905 and made popular by ATF under the name Typo Upright. Stephenson Blake also had a version available as Parisian Ronde.

Novella has always been one of Fonthaus' more popular period (Art Nouveau) fonts. The style of Novella captures the essence of typography that was popular at the turn of the 20th century (1890-1905). Its curvilinear lines are organic and floral, complimenting the work of Louis Comfort Tiffany, Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Gustav Klimt among others of the time.

This loopy offering is patterned after a typeface from the 1888 specimen book from the Central Type Foundry of St. Louis, called simply "Spiral". The ragged contours on the original face have been smoothed out, but it still is an attention-getter. Both versions of this font include the complete Unicode Latin 1252 and Central European 1250 character sets.
