4 matches view forum post #5608 What you want is probably the fluralic. Only commercally available and only for Mac. UQOTE Another phonetic notation system is Finno-Ugric transcription, that can be extreme complicated but also powerful. JL-types has created the typeface Fluralic for MacOS, on which you can type unbelievable phonetic text p; without tears. In Fluralic there are so many characters, that it is not available for Windows. To me, this looks more like some sort of characters for representation of phonetic structure (pronounciation). the whole copy/paste deal could depend on your OS language settings. PDF file might set the appropriate language code page of the unicode font but once you copy and paste it looses that. I would suggest trying to view all characters and find the needed symbols there. Depending on what program you will use for that i t imght allow you to copy it as well. This could be worth the try.
1 matches view forum post #12068 Wolf has a point there, Heron. And because it is Christmas, in spite of this being yet another 'sports' thing, I've done some digging in my memory to give the Adelaide Wolf some peace too. The font world is a tough world - as you well know. Unlike us, who take care of the sick and handicapped, in that world you are abandoned straight away and even your name is taken away from you. When it is a minor illness you may take a new name that is similar to the family name or has some phonetic similarities. But when you really lost the fight you're out. And this is what happened here. This Serpentine family member got so squeezed in that wrestling fight that it was completely abandoned. Was not even allowed to take a name starting with an S. Now, would you do that to your cousin who fell down the cliff? Anyway, as Dennis Ludlow says on the opening page of Sharkshaw, 90% of what we consume is bad design. And he is right. Graphic interpretations of existing themes do not always lead to the best. As is the case here. And we talked about this one before in this thread. This abandoned Serpentine was forced to hide under the name Air Millhouse Italic.
1 matches view forum post #8482 Milky, as far as I know the Arial and TNR Special G2 series include these faces: arial special g2 arial special g2 italic arial special g2 bold arial special g2 bold italic arial narrow special g2 arial narrow special g2 italic arial narrow special g2 bold times new roman special g2 times new roman special g2 italic times new roman special g2 bold times new roman special g2 bold italic Maybe there is also a arial narrow special g2 bold italic (seems logical) but I've never seen it. All Ā© Monotype 1991-1995. I once found them on Atomic Fonts but have not been able to trace them again. No clue who sells them today. A more or less comparable character set (and more, also phonetic, typographic symbols, maths, iconics and so on) can be found in the in the Word Perfect specials (Ā© Novell Applications Group 1993-1994), once on every WP distribution. I know I should not do this... but, when you desperately need the G2 series and can't get them anywhere - well - let me know.
