I accecdently installed the Japenese language pack by click on a link in Google that was Japanese. Now in some programs buttons, text etcc... have no words. Nothing is in Japanese.
I have no idea what could go wrong.

For example horoscopes may have the term 'Magha Nakshatra is in 3rd Pada'.What does this statement mean?

Hi, Sergio,
I guess I should read (or re-read) a bit more thoroughly in future before making myself look foolish, hehe :D
I re-read koeiekat's message, and I now realise the meaning of the mention of your name :P

No need to shout, nor to question. I said "The spider did his job well and brought home a copy". The meaning of that ought to be clear. If not, please correct my English. This week I am collecting airmiles. When home next week I'll further comment on this. In the mean time do not doubt what has been written. The Kat is thorough as the Swallow might confirm.

Thanks for your help, alex. I got it down to the Garamond Book Condensed like you said, but am a bit confused about the "bt" portion. I see some fonts end in "mt" meaning monotype. Again, keep in mind I'm "font-challenged" so may be grasping at straws here.
I must say, I've enjoyed looking at all these fonts. Hmmmm.... perhaps you've attracted a new font addict. Just think what I could do with my website........hmmmm. :-)
Thanks again for all your help.

That's a strange one... OS 9 doesn't have very stable support for TTF files. But you are saying that the fonts appeared on the font list in Quark meaning that the OS has recognized it. So it is ATM
have you tried openning ATM and finding those fonts in there and see if they are causeing any conflicts and such.
actually, i dont know if ATM is to blame as it deals with Type1 or postscript fonts. So it might be your OS.

Well done, Alex. I'm glad to contribute my thoughts in the making of this baby.Thank you for removing the "Uploaded by..." feature - I've got so many questions by people asking me for permissions on fonts that I don't won...now I guess you will be replying to them :) Another good thing is that categories are not invoked by a javascript, thus allowing you to Open a category in a new tab (impossible in th previous version). If I spot something else I will let you know.
We also had a discussion about Categories and their meaning and expression, but I see you choose to stick to the old situation.

The February 9&16, 2009 issue of the New Yorker (Eustace Tilley cover), in commenting on the death of John Updike, states, "he never tired of seeing his prose in Caslon type", apparently meaning the font used in the New Yorker magazine. What font would that be? Basic Caslon 540? One identfying feature is the low hanging capital J.
