sergio, i got to see Gullit when Ajax played Latvia's Skonto in the early 90s. We lost but i had the best time and lost my voice for days.
barely watch football since we moved to Canada. it is all about hockey now!!! (i've always loved hockey too, as every Latvian should).
Alrighty then, the orange mystery is solved, and it wasn't a sign of revolution so it is all good.

Just browsing some hockey sites, and came across a jersey which i liked.
I am designing a hockey website and would like to use this lettering for part of it.

It is the Michigan State U. jersey.
What is that lettering called and is it downloadable?
Any help would be great.

But!
As you said, RF, waaayyyy before MODs were present. When I joined in 2005 (?) it was not unlike in these halls.
And, as I see it, that were the reasons why the brilliant brains of Puck and JRZ didn't make it to MOD, because their language and behaviour was inacceptable sometimes. Very *cough* temperamental in some cases, although they were brilliant at typefaces. Had to say it wice.
And, as I read and experienced, you were one of the moral majorities there, RF! So, don't you want to join the Dafont-cave again? Hm? You know where to login. Vinz has sent you the data by email. The Dafont-MODs are still alive. At least most of them.

I am trying to identify the attached font (attached as jpg). The letter F in Floriana is definitely not of the same font used for the rest of the letters in the team name. Would anybody know of/ recognise the font used in my attachment.

I don't know if it exists but does anyone know where I can find a font that matches the name plates on the NHL's Vancouver Canucks. Color is what I would like but b&w will do as well.

I'm about to head out to play hockey so i will finish approving the remainder of your fonts Lauren tonight/tomorrow.
One thing though, since those are your fonts you can/should set the designer, license, add them to categories etc.
