Does anybody know what font they used for the FlCl logo? It's from Gainax's anime FlCl (or Furi Kuri or Fooly Cooly).
And where can I download it? Or if it's a commercial font (probably is) does anybody know a free font that closely resembles it? http://www.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/ comes up with fonts that actually don't resemble it that much...

Fully agree. My note was on restoring a pict as it makes little sense to try to restore the whole text when there are some (somewhat) unusual letters in the text.
About the use of 'technical instruments', like computers, most commercial fonts are known or easy to find, the freebees, often distorted, are more difficult to ID. The categories here and there do help but it is often quicker to run a mach ...

Can someone tell me what the font used for the red text is called? It seems to be used in most of these old boxing posters. The capital 'R' led me to helvetica. Helvetica however, even when stretched doesn't produce the same 'S'. Also the capital 'C' in helvetica is rounded all the way, rather than at the top and bottom (staying fully vertical in the middle). Any help is much appreciated.

You do not seem to fully understand the situation UF. So this is the time to listen. You have paid for posts to give your forum a start. A number of these posts are mine and/or (as you please) the one that feeds me. I/the one that feeds me have made you a proposal to end this by paying your dues. Not to me but to a charity. Just do so. Much cheaper than trying to haunt the Kat.

If you can't get a replacement for your disk you may want to try Font Creator or Altsoft's FTMaster. Both are Windows programs. Both have trial versions. Font Creator's trial is fully functional, FTMaster throws in 'funny' bits and is therefore more a working demo.
