1 posts view forum post #5818 Was wondering if anyone is familiar with this graphic as a font or if it may have been freehand....
1 posts view forum post #17109 As I am a curious Kat I paid you guys a visit and had a look at the fonts you give away. Could not help to notice that the Fiolex Girls/Coronet thingie was not an exception. Here you go: Artist = Impress Atelier = FoxScript Boys = Kids (Corel name) Castle = Mister Earl Compact = Badloc (Corel name = Bedrock) Digital = LCD Fineliner = Tekton Fleur = Uechi Gothic, lower case replaced by Wedding Text Gothic = Mariage Handscript = Freehand 575 BT Imperial = Engravers Roman News = Antique Olive Nord/Inciced 901 Nd BT Noblesse I can not trace (yet). The E and L look like being modified. Is the whole thing slanted? OldScript = Flemish Script Plant = Elzevier Caps wit Times New Roman for the lower case Princess = Murray Hill ((Why that strange E? Half mirrored F, half mirrored L ... and that Z, why kill that beautiful Z?) Roman Outline = Caslon Openface Spotmarker = (based on) Pen Tip Bold Yes. Some have some modifications. But it is indisputable where they come from ... Must I also look at the new Mephisto? Somehow looks familiar ... Oh, yes, few thingies on the site - English: past tense of send is sent.
4 posts view forum post #10868 Ehhh ... and about the Rockwell ... close but no sigar yet. Not that this is of much help because I did not find a real match. Then, on the Paintshop/Illutsrator dispute, just for the record, Corel Draw was and is a drawing program. Ergo vector based. Remember the times that Adobe was nothing more that a company that did the PDF? Remember the times that Adobe bought Aldus and renamed Photo Styler as Photoshop and quadripled the price? Yet, after all these years the user interface is still almost the same. As, as it seems to me, the basic engine. But then what do I know, I am just the Kat. Those were the days of the war between Freehand and Corel Draw, when there was no Illustrator. So let's not confuse Draw with (Photo)Paint - which I figure will soon be replaced by PSP.
1 posts view forum post #17362 The closest I can come to identifying this one (so far) is to say that it very very closely resembles Freehand from Bitstream, but the "g" is not right.
2 posts view forum post #7838 Cheers!!!!! But I was only told it was bookman, I thought it looked more like Berlin Bold which I found in my copy of Jaspert, Berry & Johnsons book on type faces. It matches what your saying but the inside of the d looks a little curved still, it's hard to see as it's so small. Do you know a way of reproducing that outline in a none photoshop environment? I use Fireworks and Freehand. Cheers again!!!!
1 posts view forum post #22623 Honestly this is from a picture taken in '86, but i know i recognize this font as something that should still be around. it's got some similarities with Freehand 575BT, but is more bold and has a different J. Any ideas? Appreciate as always any help ya'll can give.
1 posts view forum post #11019 Well, if you say so, i has to be true. But either my english skills or my freehand skills are too weak to follow you, dear KKat. I don't know what "reverse the direction of the holes" could mean. Sorry.
1 posts view forum post #5249 It looks like Britannic Ultra (from Linotype or URW), but there isn't an italic font nor smallcaps, and the title letters are a little bit wider than the original letters. It seems that you can do it in CorelDraw or Freehand with some patience... I succeeded with the D, A and Y . ;) U.
