Flaming is a bold and stylish font. Equipped with several alternative characters and ligatures, it will make your design look more attractive and unique. Although Flaming has bold letters and quite tightly spaced, it's clean and legible. All alternate characters are PUA encoded and accessible, although without additional design software.

Flamme was designed by Alan Meeks and appeared with ITC in 1993. It is a strong brush script with each stroke doubled and has a nostalgic, retro style. The 1930s and 40s saw an increase in the production of modern script typefaces in foundries all over the world. Expanding markets and their advertisements demanded more and more new typefaces, which then also appeared in newspapers and magazines. A distinguishing characteristic of these typefaces is their informal hastiness and calligraphic roots, a combination which was to embody progress and modernity. Basile is the conclusion of a process that began with the learning of italic handwriting in a roballos-Naab studio course. In this workshop I developed a variation of chancery handwriting which had a more pronounced wider than its historical model. While making the digitalization, the forms were modified to obtain a similar spirit to the one in the handwriting, but thinking about the text in small sizes. Also incorporating three sets of forms enlarged the family: italic, swash and extra swash. And the addition of initials and terminals sets.
