1 matches view forum post #8384 Hi, I have recently been in Madrid, Spain, where I saw a lot of use of the 'depraved' font (see 3d fonts) for cafe and shop signs, but obviously in its clean form. Does anybody out there know where I can find the clean version? My eyes hurt from so much searching.... Any pointers would be very much appreciated. I want to use it for some publicity and nothing else will do, as all font buffs will understand. Cheers, Nick
1 matches view forum post #7929 I just bought all the fonts for 15.99. I received and email, which directed me to log in and download my fonts. When I go to download, it directes me to a generic search page. When I go to, if download does not work click HERE. It asked for my user name and password. After I put in all my info it tells me my computer may not know how to read my creditor or something. I need to download these fonts now. My computer is in harms way. PLease help me before I hurt something. thank you karen
1 matches view forum post #24460 Hi, it's a Engravers Old English: http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/bitstream/engravers-old-english/ There is a slight difference to some kinds of Old English. See the capital letter A. The link to Dieter Steffmann (thanks koeiekat) points to a Engravers' Old English. (e in Olde -> Engravers'?) The Graffity looks like 08 Underground by Johan Waldenström. It's not on abstractfonts. So I post a dafont-link. http://www.dafont.com/08-underground.font?nb_ppp=50&text=HURSTY Please don't hurt me moderator. ;-) Bye Bye
1 matches view forum post #22935 Great idea, flawless (well, almost) performance - I advice all the designers here to upload their profiles there - even more advertising won't hurt anyone. In a nutshell, Typedia is a community website to classify typefaces and educate people about them. Think of it like a mix between IMDb and Wikipedia, but just for type. Anyone can join, add, and edit pages for typefaces or for the people behind the type. We love type, and we have a burning desire to learn as much as possible about typefaces: where they come from, who made them, and why they look the way they do. We want everyone to be able to share in that rich knowledge and enjoy the art and artists of type design. Over time, we think Typedia could grow into a great educational resource for people to learn about their favorite typefaces and discover new ones. http://www.typedia.com
1 matches view forum post #8203 [quote:7dac14a33a="koeiekat"] But who would want to embed the Ariel? [/quote:7dac14a33a] Not me, heh, but I can definitely see it happening. [quote:7dac14a33a="koeiekat"] Which of course you should not do. If the copyright holder does not allow embedding you should respect that. As we respect Alex's wish to not to make commercial fonts available for free in this forum by submitting a link to an open directory. Altough sometimes it is tempting ... [/quote:7dac14a33a] Indeed. However, those fields might not have been editable/avalable in earlier versions of software or was setting some default values without asking for designer's input. When the font is declared 100% free, no strings attached, for home and biz isage by the accompanying readme file and suddenly it says that it cannot be embedded because it is a commercial font. It is obviously a mistake. Of course it wouldn't hurt searching for it online and see if you can come up with any commercial references to it and if none are found you could possibly allow yourself the risk of editing such property.
