Dutch Initials is a set of highly decorated Fraktur like Drop Caps, with very elaborate scroll work.

koeiekat, is your reply in Dutch? If yes, what's a "schermvullende"?

Nope. Anyway not as such. The brand is still there though. Mecanorma was bought ... when we were still young and ignorant ... by a Dutch company who kept the paper/office business but sold the letterpress business, that is the design licences. Anyway this is what I remember about the death of Mecanorma. Prety much the same as Letraset.

Let there be a "sports" category. So mods, could you please stick more fonts in there as you come across of them on here...
@kkat: ughmmm... my dutch(from the looks of it) is non-existent and my online translator is bad... but i take that as a hint about the, now dead, Spirit.

Looking to find a font that matches the "Original Philadelphia Style Sandwhich" on the bottom of the font. Abbey Medium in Windows was close, but the "Y" was wrong and a few other discrepancies. Any help would be appreciated.
It looks a lot like an old Pennsylvania Dutch writing.
@Bhikkhu Pesala: ... the design must be more than 25 years old.
... In Germany ... Were the typefaces designed by a Dutch designer the copyright - without the need for registration and/or trademarking - will last until 50 years after the death of the designer.
So be careful with making your own digital versions of those typefaces 'bought' by Linotype from the former Lettergieterij Amsterdam.

The solution to this fraktur question is, that it is a conbination of the Dutch Initials for the capitals and Uechi Gothic (or whatever name it may have been given) for the lower case.
Happy New Year.
