Hello! I'm making a series of brochures in different languages.
Some languages have different characters which do not exist in Dax (or anyother from the whole Dax family). An "standard" font as Arial would have most of those characters. Anyone knows about any similar font to Dax that might be used instead?
For languages as Greek and Bulgarian, not just some characters but the whole alphabet is different... :S
Any help/suggestion highly appreciated!!

Hi fellow font geeks ;)
I'm working on a parody/satire piece for a grassroots non profit activist group... and looking for a font that looks like "FF Dax" (regular) but I really need an absolutely free copy. It's for a one off leaflet... which I need to finish soon!
looking forward to your suggestions,
bo

After quite a bit of searching I am at a loss........
Can anyone link me up with a font that has numbers of which the zero has a diagonal or vertical line through it ??
Just like the old days, lol, when we would write a line thru the zero to differentiate it from the letter O....
I hope someone can help me.
Thanks,
Kerry

Popular are Frutiger, Myriad, Helvetica, Minion and many more.
If you want a more unique look try Dax(line), PMN Caecilia, Eidetic or Serus for a semi-serif which isn't Rotis.
For a 300 pages resumee I would only recommend commercial fonts, as here you are relativley sure, that there are no problems with kerning and printing. But if you don't want to spend any money have a look in the Sans or the Serif section and take something with at least 3 weights. Example: M+2p regular.
Or have a look at Fonce Sans, looks interesting although just one weight.
