Sorry Joserh, no luck this time. As said handwriting is a bit of a problem. I have matched against some 1800 commercial sript/handwriting fonts and over 3000 handwriting/sript stuck in the dungeons.
Nada. Alas.

This was The promotional graphic sent by Aeropostale (http://www.aeropostale.com/home/index.jsp ) 05/21/09 designed for their week-long Memorial Weekend Sale...
I don't recall getting an email from them and this font (lt chickenhawk) has always been designated "free for personal use"
Of course I will be blogging this up (PR you know, PR :P), but umm, should I contact them or am I just kidding myself?
**Sorry I always come to you guys w/ my font/type questions. I choose this site over What the Font any day, thanks for letting me hang out here :)

I am trying to find a standard/easier way of getting approval for using "Freeware" fonts commercially. Some fonts don't have contact info, some are limited to a company name that I can't find on google, and others have no info at all or are "anauthored". Help. Is there a better way?

I have to say, upon perusing this forum a bit more than I had initially, I am quite taken aback by the frequency people post asking where they can find "such and such commercial font" for free!
Do they not know that people in the design business, in general, respect the work of fellow artists? Whether corporate or freelance? Requesting a known commercial font for free would be better suited on a hacker or torrent site I would think, rather than a legitamit font site...
No wonder you guys are (in all honestly) a little quick to react a bit coldly or short, you have to deal with this sort of ignorance practically non-stop!
I do take into consideration, that many people requesting commercial fonts for free do not intend to be a sleaze bucket, they are not aware that this type of request is not considered to be in good form. They seem unaware that fonts that come with software or operating systems are infact commercial fonts, not to be re-distributed, therefore, requesting commercial fonts for free would certainly be permissable. Like fonts are really nothing at all.
Sigh. No biggie, just how commonplace these requests are made is something I was really not aware of!
Well, Cheerio.

I'm trying to look for the font from the slogan of a beer commercial. It's the one that says "Give Yourself a Good Name". I tried looking for it, but with no luck.
Can anyone help me out in identifying that font from this website? Thanks!

One of the fonts I was looking at here instructs you to view the Copyright page for copyright information.
I cannot find a copyright page on this site.
Is there any easy way to tell what fonts available here are usable for Commercial purposes?
((Before you ask.. no, I cannot afford to buy fonts... I am making T-shirt designs as a Stay at home Mom, trying to build an income... Since February, I finally have made enough sales to have $40 commision build up in my online account. :)
That commision will be going to upgrading my store from free, and the leftover (if any) will go to baby formula (or maybe a graphics CD so I can stop drawing my own... at least as often.))
