The least I can suggest:
1. Retro
2. Display / Headline (although this could be rather unclear to most non-typo addicts)
3. Condensed (I know, most fonts that are Condensed have it written in their filename, but anyway)
4. "Normal" is okay, although it should be "Text"
5. DaFont has Cartoon AND Comic, which are quite good descriptions. We have Cartoon, but we don't have Comic
Any other suggestions are welcome. Alex?
PS. Also would like to see "Slab Serif" category, just in case :)

Cooper font.. a step up, or a step down from Comic Sans?
I think Comic Sans takes the brunt. But Cooper is just as guilty. It gained brief recognition from the Vote For Pedro campaign but really it will forever be the go-to Shirtique font. (and Garfield)

As a programmer, I need to use a monospaced font for my work. But I really like the feel of fonts like Comic Sans MS - a slightly loose style but clean and easy to read on screen.
Has anyone run across any monospace fonts that don't feel like Courier? I want a monspaced Comic Sans!

Can anyone direct me to a (free) font that looks like cursive and chrome? We're trying to replicate the font from the Disney movie "Cars" for an elementary school project.
Thanks--

Hello all, looking for a font that has a grassy or plant type look to it...doing a poster for a show called "Grass Roots" and everything I find is a bit to flowery for my liking. Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Other thing, Alex, I can not see some background info anymore. Not urgent but it did help.
what type of background info are you referring to?
i will be working on restoring usernames, but i will only do that on request, since i don't know the AF -> AF Forum username connections unless the user tells me.
So please, in this thread, request for me to assign the old forum posts to your new, or existing new forum username. Provide your old username and the new username.

Quote: "Dalek is a full font based on the lettering used in the Dalek Book of 1964 and in the Daleks strip in TV21 comic, spin-offs from the UK science fiction TV show, Doctor Who. The font has overtones of Phoenician, Greek and Runic alphabets."
