@Heron2001:Also - there is a face called Letterman. It has this info on it:
Digital Typeface data licensed from the WSI-Font Collection. Copyright (c)1994 Weatherly Systems, Inc. All Rights Reserved. Redistribution strictly prohibited.
It comes in both solid and outline. Unfortunately, because of the copyright it can not be distributed on Abstract Fonts.
I just wanted you to know that it is available.
Yes, saw that. But that is one of these sports (sport, sport, weg met de sport, niets is gezond waar je moe van wordt) fonts. For square brains?

You know, you are always welcome, KKat. And , by the way, it is no sport in cloning a typeface which was always a freeware, so no surprise you (and millions of others) have the original. Or am I getting something wrong?

To install fonts onto a MAC you will need OS X which has native support for True Type fonts. To install fonts on an older version of MAC OS you will most likely need a conversion program, such as TTConverter.
Fonts CAN exist in four different Folders in OS X:
1. Mac Hard Disk/Library/Fonts
This is public, available to anyone
2. Mac Hard Disk/System/Library/Fonts
System only fonts
3. Mac Hard Disk/Users/~/Library/Fonts
~ denotes user's personal home folder
4. Mac Hard Disk/Network/Library/Fonts
Share fonts with others with access
5. OS X loads fonts from all these locations to make them available to applications. OS X fonts take precedence over Classic fonts with the same name. Therefore, the 'Helvetica' used in Classic may not be the same Helvetica in OS X.

Stahl's Varsity family of fonts are pretty much the standard.
Stahl's dot com, I'm guessing is where to buy. They should come with other variations, such as sans and Stahl's Tiffany
There's also plenty of free knock offs:
College
Ivy League
Princeton
Sport Spirit
Artox
etc.
