Well, if you lose – by accident or error – something, you have to buy it again. I guess it's normal. You can even try to sue Microsoft, if you're a solicitor and it's cheaper than 80£.
Joe, I admit: I truly do not get your point.
It's like being charged for loosing the font and WANTING to have it again. - re: Really Really need - Neuzeit GroTBol,GroTReg,

Go to Linotype, the TrueType is $24, cheaper than anybody else. Plus that's the full character map with small caps also. - re: ID a font, or create it?

It seems I cannot find it anywhere but in a collection by Elsner and Flake worth some hundreds Euros. I guess I'll deal with the cheaper and somewhat similar Craw Modern.
Thanks again, super Kat. - re: A-ha. Is it a Bodoni/Didoni extended or what?

I fail to understand the world you live in. If the client refuses the free alternative because it is not close enough AND refuses to pay for the real thing they end up with nada de nada but still have paid for your time lost trying to find something. My guess is that it would have been cheaper to spend the $32 on the Laser. - re: Need a little help...

You do not seem to fully understand the situation UF. So this is the time to listen. You have paid for posts to give your forum a start. A number of these posts are mine and/or (as you please) the one that feeds me. I/the one that feeds me have made you a proposal to end this by paying your dues. Not to me but to a charity. Just do so. Much cheaper than trying to haunt the Kat.
And, blackmail was a word you should not have used. I think I am upset. - re: Message to Kat - cc Alex

[quote:bf11f20c75="tattooointment"]Hi I have a customer wanting this replicated[/quote:bf11f20c75]
Simple 1: Buy'm and charge the customer. Customer wants it: Customer pays.
Simple 2: Buy'm and consider it a tax deductable investment.
Alternative 1: Spend 10 hours finding these for free. At $/â?¬ 50,- an hour (who would design for less?) a costly affair. Much cheaper to buy the stuff.
Alternative 2: Tell your customer you've found the types and you can do the job when he/she supplies them (one sure way to loose a customer). - Re: Font Help Please!

Well, nothing much to say after the dear KKat spoke the truth. But...
But the Eagle is another close bird to the swallow. Well, if it weren't for the T and the apostrophe. And, yes, the KKat is right. Nothing to put a finger on it.
UPDATE: There is the font City of. It's a lot cheaper... Haven't checked it, though, ...but maybe that helps for a while.

The typeface used for american signs is Clearface Highway. This is exclusive, I think, but haven't checked. There is one which mimicks it and it is one of the bestsellers today, it is called Interstate and you are lucky, there is cheaper version, too, called Blue Highway - re: CALIFORNIA STATE SIGNAGE
