Hi, this is my first time using the members forum on this site.
I recently started making fonts. They're quite unique, as I use extra large graphics for the source glyphs. In some of them, the character glyphs are almost five inches high at 72 points.
Unfortunately, the file sizes are too big for most sites that sponsor freeware fonts, so they've received little exposure.. Several of them are between 1.3 and 2 MB. They open VERY slowly in preview, but they work fine when installed.
A 13 glyph demo version of my new font, HaydenPanettiereBats, was completed a couple of days ago. If the sample graphic looks interesting to you, the direct download link for this font is

This one, and my other ten fonts so far, are available on my homepage, hosted by Luc Devroye:
http://cg.scs.carleton.ca/~luc/bobistheowl.html
Luc also provides free font hosting on his website, so if any of you are amateur font makers, he can provide a page on his site for your creations. He's a professor of computer science at McGill University in Montreal, and he has unlimited bandwidth for his site.
It's worth your while to check these out, if you like dingbat fonts. Please leave a comment in this thread if you like them.
Thanks,
~bobistheowl

Additional fonts in this series will follow soon.
Here's a prieview from one of the upcoming fonts in this series. I hope ScanFont will let me make one this wide.

The Through the Looking Glass1 and Through the Looking Glass2 fonts are available on the Metaphase Brothel Graphics homepage:

These fonts will cause problems if you are using Windows Vista with Clearface enabled. They work fine with other versions of Windows. For Mac users, an Open Type version of the three John Tenniel Alice fonts is available on our homepage.

It's by Amanda Green Bottoms. Her site is kevinandamanda.com It has quite an extensive collection of downloads, both Amanda's own creations, and her scrapbook favorites. Amanda also does free(!) conversion of personal handwriting to fonts. Take the Scrapbook link from the main page. Fonts are at the bottom. This site also features 'Fonts for Peas', a series of fonts with 'Pea' as a prefix. You can find a list of Amanda's other fonts here:

For Lizzie:
Please send a copy of your font to LucDevroye by e-mail: lucdevroye@gmail.com
Luc maintains the Internet's largest database of font and typographical data. His main page is: http://cg.scs.carleton.ca/~luc/fonts.html
Luc may ask you for some brief biographical data to update the font designers page. Your font would also appear on the Latest Links page for approximately one month.
You can also find fourteen of my fonts there, in the font hosting (for others) link under the 'My Own Struff' topic.

If you are an amateur font maker, and are looking for a site to showcase your fonts, please contact Luc Devroye: lucdevroye@gmail.com
Luc is a professor of Computer Science at McGill University in Montreal, and he is also the Internet authority on fonts and typography. He's offering free hosting on his site for anyone making freeware fonts. If you make large file size fonts like I do, that's OK, because Luc has unlimited bandwidth at his disposal. Currently I'm the only designer on his site, and he'd like to add more.
Luc's home page is:
http://cg.scs.carleton.ca/~luc/fonts.html
There are subpages for designers, download locations, and every conceivable font category. He can't guarantee that a lot of people will see your fonts, but they will come up in search engine results, particularly if you make an anouncement about them in this forum, or the message boards on other sites.
Is that a Canadian maple leaf in the lower right hand corner of this window? I'm from Toronto.
