1 posts view forum post #25561 It's been bothering me for days. Looks like a combination of the free Cairo font and commercial Cushing. Close but not EXACT. HELP!
1 posts view forum post #26103 Hi, The sample is to fuzzy for more than a guess. It's might be a manualy slanted Cairo Regular: http://www.abstractfonts.com/font/13463 or another typeface like Clarendon: http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/urw/clarendon/ or a manualy slanted Egyptienne : http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/urw/egyptienne-2/ Bye bye
1 posts view forum post #24854 Hi,
@LAvish:Actually I don't think its Egyptian Bold Extended because the middle part of the E is different. Could it be a different version of Egyptian?
Egyptian is the old term for «Slab Serif». See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slab_serif Your example is a Slab Serif according the Clarendon model and it`s no Clarendon. The typeface Cairo is a typical example but it`s condensed: http://www.abstractfonts.com/font/13463 The «Fette Egyptienne» from Dieter Steffmann is another good example: http://www.abstractfonts.com/font/13147 Note: Both typefaces are tagged «serif» and not «slab serif». Searching for the tag «slab serif» will not work properly for Clarendon Model typefaces. :-( Bye Bye
