Boring Sans, designed by Cosimo Lorenzo Pancini, is a typeface family designed along two variable axis: weight and weirdness. These two parameters allow designers to explore a full range of variations on sans serif design, starting from a neutral set of proportions and evolving to a strongly contrasted and dynamic treatment, ready to raise eyebrows on social media. The basic "A" subfamily, developed in in five weights plus italics, behaves like a traditional, solid workhorse sans serif, with finely tuned proportions for optimal readability and minimal emotional impact. The "B" subfamily, developed in the same ten weights, shows a more contemporary "brutal" approach, with slanted lines, deep inktraps and stronger contrast. All these features are brought to the extreme in the ten weights of the "C" subfamily, with each letter a bombastic show of exhuberant weirdness. The hand lettered credits from the 1931 melodrama “Safe in Hell” inspired the typeface Pre Code Movies JNL, which is available in both regular and oblique versions. The design is strongly influenced by the popular Art Deco style of thick-and-thin characters and also features rounded corners. The font’s name comes from the early era of talking pictures and the short period before the establishment of the Hays Office in 1934 when Hollywood did not self-censor itself. Many then-taboo topics were exploited on film until Will Hays cracked down on such productions. This all started as a bunch of letter written using a squared paper as a guide. It all turned out fine, but there was something that wasn't quite right...it was boring! I took all the letters and grunge it all up and did all the drips as well - and suddenly that boring look was gone! That was an unlikely development!

Petroglifos is a dingbats font as a collection of pre-Hispanic petroglyphs of indigenous ethnic Venezuela, most of them are found in signs carved in stone or painted in caves of the pre-Hispanic period, each icon is an accurate representation of these ancestral signs. Forms are very interesting from a visual, anthropological, historical and semiotic point of view.

A free-spirited hand-script font. Very similar to pre-computer hand-written letttering with a ruling pen.

BillieBob was made by cramping straight shapes into squares. Somewhat reminds me of pre cold-war Russian type.

Muisca, that in its early edition was named as «Muisca Sans», was developed in mid-1997 and based on the graphic concept of pre-Columbian characteristics figures within some of the very few visual elements recovered from the Muisca culture. This ancient pre-Columbian tribe disappeared since the arrival of the Spanish 500 years ago, in what is now the center of Colombia. In fact, the name of the capital Bogotá goes back to Bacatá as primary or village downtown of what was once the imperial capital of the Muisca tribe. This typographic project was submitted as my work for the degree in Graphic Design, obtained in September of that year (at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia), under the creative concept of vindicating the ancient culture and identity through a functional typeface, into a fact without precedent in the country. Muisca was recently edited, arranged and completed, including multilingual diacritic glyphs to be versatile in several languages. Related and inspired by Latin America, Ethnic, Native, Tribal, Mysthical, Handmade, Aboriginal, Pre-Hispanic, Pre-Columbian, Textured, Fantasy. Ideal to be used in logos, display text & titles, games and other design applications that reminds of the Pre-Hispanic art.

Modeled from a set of individual painting stencils, Mess Hall JNL is named for the armed services cafeteria where thousands of enlisted men endured bland, boring meals day in and day out for years.

The character set is short but make no mistakes, it is complete. Illegible, unreadable, unusable, this overly-geometric sans adheres to a set of rules just barely allowing an alphabet. But, hey it's free.

I love going to flea markets and second-hand stores; in fact a lot of the furniture in our home is second hand (or pre-loved, a euphemism I find rather peculiar). I personally believe that buying used products is a good way to help this planet, as no new stuff needs to be made and the old stuff gets a second life. Fleabitten is a ‘western style’ serif font. You could use it to pimp the posters for your line dance festival, but hey, be creative! I am sure you’ll find some good use for this very nice pre-loved font. Yes, pre-loved: I loved it first!

This typeface was named for one of George's daughters, at her request, after she discovered that another of George's designs, ITC Kristen, bore an appellation strikingly similar to that of her sister. And then there was peace...

AZ Imperial font was inspired from miscellaneous vintage tin packaging. Complete with an "old look" to the line work with barely a serif still visible. Ideal for use as headline or sub-head text in you design.

The capitals of the Triplett font bare a strong resemblance to Roman inscriptions, while the lowercase alphabet has been drawn with a rounded hand, inspired by the cursive uncial handwriting. Serifs are very small, giving a clean modern look to texts and headings.
